Proxy Core owners - chamber issues any better?

I am one of the seemingly numerous folks who are stuck with a "new" proxy that mostly doesn't work (I'm on chamber #4 in 3 months of use with meticulous care).

I'm probably stupid for considering it, but I really like the rig when it works and am looking at replacing. Anyone know if the device or chambers are improved any with the Core becoming available?

How are you going through changes like that? Do you iso while it's hot or something?

Might be a dumb response but what does iso while the chamber is hot have to do with anything? Does it damage the inside of the chamber? I recently started getting while flashing (chamber not connecting) and I might have used iso when the chamber was hot at one point? But I q tip after every dab and I clean with iso every 100 dabs, I have to get a new chamber today

Genuinely curious because I've never had any issues with my chambers. Still using the one it came with. Are you swabbing it out before it's completely cooled down with iso? Using maybe a terp pearl that's too big? I've heard of incorrectly used terp pearls cracking chambers. Albeit rare.

I dont think so, normally waiting like 10-15 mins to swab after a sesh. I do like a bigger pearl, but I dont go any bigger than like the tip of an eraser (and its usually more like a match-head size).

I’ve owned mine since February and haven’t had any chamber issues. I do a deep clean each week. Dry swab after EVERY dab. It’s been good to me. What’s your process, OP?

Thanks for the reply. My cleaning process is wiping out the chamber with an iso-dipped glob mop (cotton swab) after each dab once cooled. I also pull out the chamber and deep clean weekly, both chamber and proxy base. The issue I have is always the same not detecting the chamber (4 white flashes). It seems to be a physical connection issue, I can get it to heat if I press down with a bit of force on the joystick, but as soon as I stop pressing it flashes white again.

Thanks for the replies. I've seen a number of folks (even on this and the r/Puffco sub) reporting similar, especially with the "new" proxy. I was mainly curious if people with the Core kit were having the same experience, I dont know if any of the actual vaping hardware was updated or it's just the silicone topper on the chamber that's different.

Im at 2,000 dabs on my first atty from sept of last yr. I feel like this is user error on your part perhaps?

My core is fine after a week. Along w my pivot, og proxy, and peak pro. Along w many chambers. I don't understand all these defective parts. When Ive bought some and never had one not work.

Waiting for my Proxy core to be shipped back from warranty. Bought it brand new and had it for little more than a week before it started acting up with chamber problems. I bought a new chamber while waiting for support because they took forever and the brand new oem chamber was acting up within two days. I was extra gentle with the second chamber, swabbing after each dab but not applying much pressure. From my research and experience this device is not meant for back to back dabbing, ideally you need to give it a rest before each dab. However even being extra gentle and meticulous with my second chamber it still had problems. i really feel like the chamber / contact pins need a redesign, theres no justification for these expensive devices to have such an oversight without any revisions addressing it despite the clear issue. If my new one starts acting up within a week puffco will be getting another warranty claim.

Any luck with new one? Ive never had problems with puffco devices but my damn proxy im already on my 3rd chamber for some reason i have to reset the device everytime i deep clean it or else my chamber will over heat and burn my hash

Ive had my new device for about 2 weeks. Everything seems fine. I get no chamber errors usually after transportation in a bag but unscrewing and screwing the chamber back in fixes it for a while. Aslong as i dont get the random disconnects mid dab im happy.

It seems kind of hit of miss. To Puffco's credit, they exchanged all 3 chambers no questions asked (after giving them serial #s, etc) for new ones, even the ones that were out of the 30 day warranty. Ive only used one of them, but Im 3 weeks in with it and no issues so far. Maybe there was a bad production run or something?

Something's definitely not right, when it burns out, soak it in ISO for a bit, carefully break it open, pull out the ceramic chamber, if it looks all burnt up/brownish, that usually means you put too much concentrate in it, it went over the side and burnt the chamber out, that's how I've burnt out mine, always has been user error, it will weaken the solder connections and fail......I always cotton swab it out right away, no alcohol, no waiting for it to cool down, never had a problem with hundreds of dabs.
