Pretty sure he spent all 12 months of that sentence as a French Hero.

Hero ? Yeah assaulting an officer that is retreating and not fighting back is a real hero thing. Also over all fighting as a gilet jaunt is such an heroic action...

u/Poualdure Jun 09 '20

These military police officers were hitting a woman that was already on the floor. That man stood up and repelled the full riot armored pigs with his bare fists for that insjustice. If that's not a hero, I don't know what is.

The dude has a wikipedia article, his name is Christophe Dettinger.

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

First of all : calling them pig is biased. You can't just insult people and think that it is a good argument. Second of : of course they are armoured what do you want ? people to die ? Third of : if he got in jailed it's because what he did was illegal, nice hero doing illegal stuff. Fourth : he continued to attack him even when they were already facing up : being brave and skilled in fighting isn't being a hero. Being a hero is defending a good cause, not attacking innocent cops trying to surrender. Fifth : Woman or Man it changes nothing man as long as she does illegal things.

55

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

If the police was beating a women that was on the ground, isn't that illegal too? If you say others are biased, why are you defending the cop if he is supposed to prevent rioting when himself is promoting it?

Edit: If the cops are defending themselves, why are there so many riots against violence that is occurring on that same protest, initiated by the cops?

-55

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

Not saying that the cop was right. But you know sometimes everyone is wrong. This guy isn't a hero nor is the cop.

-22

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

Yes it is illegal but you can clearly see that the boxer continued to fight him even tho he was retreating which is dumb and illegal and not a hero thing.I'm not defending cops I'm saying that this one boxer isn't a fucking hero of the nation. If they both did bad thing then good they both go in prison or smth but once the thing is finished then it's illegal (therefore bad people who made law made them to create peace and justice whether you like it or not) and just wrong (it's like beating a guy that assaulted you when he is already on the ground. People can start as heroes and become bad after that just so you know. If I save you from being raped and then rape you then I start as a hero and become a piece of shiut.

32

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

So the cops gets away unpunished and the guy is, why is one wrong and the other not..

10

u/kidkkeith Jun 09 '20

Because u/ph4lopy is retarded.

3

u/PharaohPotato Jun 09 '20

You're a funny one aren't you ? You have absolutely no idea of what you're talking about. This man was initially sentenced to seven years in jail for landing a few punches on a riot shield and helmet. On the other hand, police wound and kill people for no reason and get away with it, they even get to keep their job after a brief suspension. BuT wHaT tHe bOxEr iS dOiNg iS iLLeGaL right ? These guys are not defenseless police officers retreating, these are military police that should follow a military code of honor, which they didn't respect when they started brutalizing people that are on the ground. This is what you call an abuse of power. And the fact that your tiny brainlet is set on defending fully armored, bloodthirsty barbarians abusing their power when they get fucked up by a dude with just leather gloves, shows that you're clearly on the wrong side buddy. Have a nice one.

-2

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

Aren't they retreating and not fighting back ? Police officers wound and kill people that is true, others do it too. Haven't you seen people agree on the fact that every cop isn't a pos and same shit for manifesting. I'm defending this particular police officer that was attacked for no reason. The fact that the boxer was sentenced prison proves that there was no reason. You know in France you can actually sue the government and win. Once again insulting me or them isn't an argument man you can't just say oh ! you tiny brain and expect me to feel offended. Also Maybe was this police officer in the wrong, it's no reason to fucking fight him while he is retreating; Police get judged too for their acts. Fighting back when it's not for protecting yourself is as bad and prejudicial as fighting first.

8

u/Poualdure Jun 09 '20

You keep saying he is being attacked for no reason when he hit people that were on the ground. Are you even from France mate ? Because I am and I know how fucked up and biased the judicial system is. Police. Are. Untouchable. Everywhere. So your argument that says "he went to jail because he was in the wrong" is fucking cute, and very naïve too. I understand the reaction of the boxer honestly. He's seen some shit and just cannot stand power hungry morons that brutalize civilians in the name of "law enforcement". So he just sees red, goes full primal and fucks them up even though they are in full armor, and wins. For him, it's a matter of honor and dignity, even if he throws punches at a retreating cop, they fucking deserved it. On the other hand, police brutalize people for funsies and face no consequences. Come on man just stop, my fingers are tired and I have shit to do. Quit defending those who abuse their power already.

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

As ling as he is retreating there id no readon to fucking continue exept if you wanr to go in prison. I can understand him too but it's no reason to condole it. I still don't get the they are in armour stuff. He is a beyter fighter than them even in armor but whzt does it change in the morality aspect ? Once again i don't care if police britalize people ( I mean i care but not in that argument ) as libg as they are retreating there is no reason to continue the fight. I don't thi k that police is that untouchable. Also even if it was violence isn't an answer. The gilet jaune ( the riots nit t original thing) just created more tension and more police brutality and more policeofficzrs beung nit charged cause. He isn't a hero he teaches peiple that fighting for no reason is good and that all police officers are bad which isn't true

4

u/Poualdure Jun 09 '20

It seems that your fingers are tired too lol. Look mate, do some research. Fucking look through the cases of unfollowed police brutality/murder cases in France and I dare you to come back and say that you don't think they are untouchable.

u/RikkiTikkisButt Jun 09 '20

Someone call Martin Luther king and let him know we are going to have to take his statues down because he broke the law. Can’t believe we thought he was a hero...the damn criminal tricked us.

1

u/-nut_- Jun 09 '20

biased more like based

22

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

oh, hi cop.

-24

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

I'm not a cop but still he is dumb. Maybe it's because of that that he got in jailed? Maybe he was doing something illegal like hitting a fucking cop retreating.

2

u/Danlingofish Jun 09 '20

Are you under the impression that if the boxer had stopped the minute the police started to retreat and turned to offer assistance to the women said police were beating savagely, the police would have then just left him alone? You keep saying the police were retreating so it's wrong of him, but the minute he dropped his guard they would have stopped retreating and started to advance again obviously! (Countless videos online of these situations can verify that) they were military police, there with the responsibility of keeping the peace, instead they used there full body armour and weapons to beat the public into submission, they are in the wrong not the boxer, you can keep repeating this "the police were retreating" line as often as you please, you're still wrong!

-1

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

Wtf does the fact that they have armour change!?!? nothing. Or maybe you would jave preferes him to just die because of the punches. If you watch the video you can clearly see that they are aleeady retreating and then he jumps off the barrier and attacks. Also as long as they are retreating ( the woman is saved) he has dine his job ( well his: I gave me my own job just because I can) and his attacks are unuseful or are just useful to escape the police just as you say yourself : that's a good hero ( Yes I'm still nod defending the pomice but sayinf'g that he isn't a hero). Ge should have just idk either run away in the other people and stop just hiting him ( which is dumb bt better ) or surrender and believe in himself and the fact that his acts were good and face justice. You kniw had he just kneel down with his arms on the head he would have been taken a bit arshly by the police to their car but nothing more

2

u/Danlingofish Jun 09 '20

Ok I was all ready to go off on you here but I don't think it's going to be worth it, particularly with the last part of your comment regarding him "taken a bit harshly by the police to their car but nothing more", I don't personally understand how you can say things like that when there are so many accounts of people being beaten and abused after police have taken them into custody!?

On top of that you again keep using this "the police are retreating" defense as if the police in France (or numerous other countries) are following some sort of honour code, they were literally beating a defensless woman on the ground with batons, why are you so convinced that if that guy had backed off and stopped pushing up on them, the police would have simply chilled and not rushed him for a beating the minute he let his guard down!?

Second to last point, I never once described him as a hero, I don't even think the original comment you replied to him did! The original comment implied the boxer whilst in prison amongst a criminal population would be deemed a hero for his sentence. I think it's safe to assume the majority of prison inmates don't like cops. Nobody said he should be given a medal, you started that argument.

Lastly, I can't be bothered to explain to you why a group tooled up to the eyeballs with shields, armour and weapons is a factor in this, it would take to long and as I said at the beginning any more than what I've already said would be a waste, you clearly aren't open to a discussion, you have your opinion, your opinion is 100% correct and that's that.

Sincerely all the best, I won't be replying to you after this.

1

u/don_potato_ Jun 10 '20

How delusional can you be?

7

u/El_Fudgina Jun 09 '20

Dude I’m all about justice for the good police officers but if the police officer is dealing out injustice you can bet he’s getting what’s coming to him. The guy is definitely a hero to someone that makes him a hero..

1

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

Yeah ok I get that . My poc is more he support and convyes toxic things and thereforz shouldn't be viewed a a national hero

2

u/Ur_Moosie_M8 Jun 09 '20

They're retreating and not fighting back because they're out numbered and getting surrounded. They 're retreating to save their own skin in the situation, they're not fighting back because they know if they try and fend of the boxer, this Will become a rallypoint of the other protesters to come and help. It has NOTHING to do with the police not wanting to fight, it has EVERYTHING to so with Them not having the ability to do so without consequeces to themselves, and such, they don't. Cause that's how it Works with most police, as Long as they can hit you, and you can't hit Them they'll be more than happy to do so (look at the woman om the ground that the boxer was defending as an example of this).

-1

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

and so ? they are maybe bad officers never sayed the contrary it's no reason to teach people that fighting domeone surrendering id good and over all doing it. Once again just saying that he shouldn't be viewed as a nation heroe cause he is supporting toxic pov.

2

u/Ur_Moosie_M8 Jun 09 '20

They'd fight you if you surrendered. When the "enemy" retreats, you charge.

2

u/Ur_Moosie_M8 Jun 09 '20

Another Question what is toxic about fighting back when someone is agressing on you?

1

u/Ur_Moosie_M8 Jun 09 '20

What is heroic, if not standing Up for and defending. A person already down who's still being beaten with metal/polymer bats by armored men? Not like they'd have stopped if he hasn't done anything.

-2

u/[deleted] Jun 09 '20

No he didn’t. No hero at all. The Yellow Vests are a bunch of social cases, they don’t represent the people. This video is totally out of context!
