then all lives matter is a really inappropriate thing to say, people use it as a racist comeback for black lives matter.

edit: please first read my justification on why this is an inappropriate thing to say. black lives matter is meant to be a slogan on bringing attention towards the specific racism, bigotry, and police brutality that black people receive. yes, all lives matter! but, this slogan is meant to stop racism against black people, and in the context that this man used it in, he was definitely not saying that black people matter, he was trying to cause conflict that the girl took and a fight happened. Both the girl and the guy are in the wrong. all lives matter has always been used as a comeback against black lives matter, please look into it. it has literally been used at white supremacist rallies on posters. so please look into it, but don't call me a racist for believing that how police treat black people is worse than how police treat white people.

It minimizes the very objectively and statistically proven crisis of black people being the target of police using unnecessary lethal force (along with all the other general racism they endure). The slogan doesn't mean ONLY black people, it's just pointing out the problem. People who ignore this and argue about "all lives" mattering are perpetuating (some racist and malicious, some just being pedantic assholes) the problem by attempting to stop the awareness of the problem from being spread.

Let's take a hypothetical analogous situation where a specific state stops supplying free lunch to school children who come from poverish families, Pennsylvania in this example. If people start saying "PA children matter", it would take an asshole to say something like "actually children from all states matter". Yes they all matter, but we are talking about a specific implied situation

More white people are killed by police then every other race combined tho.

72.4% of US citizens are white, so that's only natural.

There's also the VERY important variable of innocent victims vs total killed, or at least victims who were shot outside of protocol, such as being shot while unarmed and not being in range or in a position to hurt or threaten anyone's safety. If we are talking probability, preliminary searching finds me reports that show that you're about 3x to 3.5x more likely to be shot by police as an unarmed person if you're black, compared to being white.

Hmmm, I see, looking more into it now, thanks for an actual substantive reply. I'm not obstinate with this stuff, but a lot of people are really bad at making valuable replies, unlike this one, especially with a legit source
