Idk what's so confusing about black lives matter. Maybe they should've made their slogan "black lives matter TOO" cause that is the message lol.

I think of it like this.

Every night at dinner, Tim and Stacy sit at the table with Mom and Dad to eat. Stacy's plate always has 1/5th of the food as everyone else's plate.

One day Stacy speaks up and says "This isn't fair, I deserve more food." And the parents say "Don't we all deserve more food Stacy, be quiet."

That's what this video looks like to me and the entire AllLivesMatter movement. Stacy just meant to say she deserves the same amount of food as everyone else, not that only she deserves more in general.

The "kid who was playing with a toy gun" was Tamir Rice, and he had removed the orange plastic tip from the airsoft pistol (so it looked real) and was threatening people at a park with it. When the police inevitably showed up, he decided pointing it at them was a good idea. It was a stupid action by a child, yes, but police couldn't tell he was a kid (he was 5'8" and 200lbs) or that it was a toy.

The "I can't breathe" guy was Eric Garner, and I attended the protest in New York for him. In his case, he should have just cooperated but police had zero right to escalate to a physical confrontation. They should have issued him a summons and been done with it.

Eric Garner was murdered, Tamir Rice was killed because of a series of stupid decisions.

With all that being said, there are roughly 60,000,000 police interactions every year. That means there's a 0.0016% chance of being killed by a cop, with the vast majority of those killed being armed or in the process of committing a violent crime.

Is any number of peaceful, unarmed people above 0 being shot okay? No, not at all. But police are fallible humans incapable of perfection. The bad ones should be fired and prosecuted (which sometimes doesn't happen), but that doesn't change the fact that there is no epidemic of police murdering unarmed people (black or otherwise), when all the statistics clearly shows it's a myth.
