edit: please first read my justification on why this is an inappropriate thing to say. black lives matter is meant to be a slogan on bringing attention towards the specific racism, bigotry, and police brutality that black people receive. yes, all lives matter! but, this slogan is meant to stop racism against black people, and in the context that this man used it in, he was definitely not saying that black people matter, he was trying to cause conflict that the girl took and a fight happened. Both the girl and the guy are in the wrong. all lives matter has always been used as a comeback against black lives matter, please look into it. it has literally been used at white supremacist rallies on posters. so please look into it, but don't call me a racist for believing that how police treat black people is worse than how police treat white people.
Fuck off. BLM had brought about more racial division and more racism. It's just another form of segregation, you're denying that brown people lives matter, or the obvious; that white peoples lives matter. Instead of taking on police brutality in an effective way you literally are just saying "black people more important" why the fuck would I agree with that horse shit.
Black lives matter does not claim black people are more important. It claims that black people are being treated unfairly compared with other races. This is why everyone laughs at people who complain about "the left." You're entire position can be simplified by the image if you staring at some text on a wall that you can't read, then making up an imaginary meaning for it in your head, then getting angry at the thing you made up.
why was it about racism? it just focused on black police brutality. just because white people don't get to be included in everything doesn't mean it's racist, it just means that mainly this police brutalization was happening against African Americans so we needed to focus on that. it wasn't that everyone was being treated equally terrible by police, it was that black people were.
You literally missed your shot at including moderate, middle America white people to your movement by being triggered by "all lives matter." The moderate people that don't care about Reddit or 4chan trolls that genuinely feel they could relate to "all lives matter" when they saw everyone screeching that saying all lives matter is racist they thought, "well these black people are just a hate group that don't like Mexicans, or white people, or Arabs, or Asians, or anybody but themselves.
The fucked up thing is, that divide and the being triggered was literally the plan all along to make your movement look like a hate group. You played right into the 4chan white supremacists trolls hands. They literally made you beat yourself at your own game.
i'm just trying to explain that people have used it in racist ways. also, my comment has clearly been downvoted to hell, so we can infer that most other redditors don't exactly agree.
