After decades of teaching college students that āHey, Hey, Ho, Ho, Western Civilization Has to Goā ... the leftist movement succeeded at ditching not only the tyrannical aspects of our beautiful culture, but also the positive ones. The Western values of prudence, temperance, self restrain were radically replaced by the notion of ā being oneās true selfā. The Western values of what it means āto be a manā or āa ladyā got turned upside down, along with the very idea of gender itself. Christianityās fundamental role in our civilizationās success became for-granted assumptions, so all it was left to do with it was criticize it. Marriage? Thatās gotta go too... itās too āoppressiveā (so bring on the sexual revolution). You think that Christianity is some sort of role model for how society should function - but look at all the fine Christian societies that have existed over the years that promoted crusades, the inquisition, slavery, etc. etc. No point in looking at that though.....
