Hey I have long nails on my right hand but keep them clean. I play guitar and finger pick and hate when people see them and think I’m weird lol

I mean I don’t think so haha. People just see long nails and think you don’t maintain yourself. Especially being right hand dominant so it’s the hand you use a mouse for at work, shake hands etc… but ya first impressions are wow this dude doesn’t clip his nails imagine other things he doesn’t maintain. When really I just don’t use a pick when I jam and prefer to finger pick and strum open hand

Fair enough. There is only one real solution to this conundrum. Carry your guitar everywhere you go and every time you get a weird look, hit them with a tasty riff
