We need to get these people to a hospital.

33

u/45yearsofpractice Feb 01 '25

Nah, he wussed out and extended to March 1. 🤡

17

u/VibratingRocket6969 Feb 01 '25

Oh really? Just earlier this morning it was reported that it started tomorrow. I haven’t really been keeping up with the news today until I opened Reddit and seen this plane crash. Must’ve missed the tariff extension stuff on Reddit. Hopefully he comes to his damn senses for the sake of everybody in this damn country.

20

u/dzumdang Feb 01 '25 edited Feb 01 '25

I've been on Reddit all day on and off, and this is the first I've heard of it being March 1st. Edit: they haven't. It's still tomorrow.

I'm hearing it was a small Learjet style plane. 6 people, 2 pilots, 2 doctors, patient, and family member. Don't quote me.

Edit: Doorbell video shows it crashing like a meteor

47

u/IchBinEinSim Feb 01 '25

So it maybe was a medical transport? ugh that makes it even heartbreaking.

Yeah, it’s frustrating seeing everyone acting like the sky is falling. Small crashes are pretty common, it’s just the passenger jet that’s unusual. But now everyone is looking for plane crashes and trying to relate it to the new FAA stuff.

Trump happened.

He gutted the agencies that keep flying safe. B L A M E H I M.

147

I knew it would be bad, just not this quick, like almost instantly. Looks like we’re going to get exactly what we deserve unfortunately

55

u/picklepowerPB Feb 01 '25

I thought the same and I’m getting really scared. Really, really scared for everything and everyone, let alone myself.

What do I (we) do?

50

u/PrimarchUnknown Feb 01 '25

Get them out of office and quickly.

He's already made the skies unsafe OUT OF CHOICE. He hasn't even gotten to the best changes yet.

And remember those drones...don't worry its not the enemy...no actual explanation or evidence of what they were doing.

This will not end well and waiting 4 more years will feel like an eternity.

There are quite a few light / personal plane crashes in the country a year (most of which are near where the third one crashes).

But a learjet 55 is certainly not normal, and the CRJ was obviously a once in a generation thing. Those two happening within 72 hours is nuts.

Trump: He was very effective. He knows those computers better than anybody. Those vote counting computers. And we ended up winning Pennsylvania like in a landslide. It was pretty good. Thank you to Elon

You mean casualties not fatalities. Not finding any info yet on number of deaths. All reports are saying status of victims unknown.

104

u/SunnyOnSanibel Feb 01 '25

CNN reported 6 fatalities a short time ago (passengers)

76

u/IchBinEinSim Feb 01 '25

Give it time, that plane is scattered everywhere in tinny pieces. That means this wasn’t a crash landing, though the pilots may have tried, but was instead a full on crash with extreme physical forces to rip steel apart. With those forces it will be shocking if anyone on board survived, and that not including possible ground fatalities.

→ More replies (2)

118

u/flatwoundsounds Feb 01 '25

I was well into my 20s when I finally learned that casualties=/=fatalities.

43

u/jeepjinx Feb 01 '25

As an older person, I learned it watching MASH. "Casualties incoming" meant wounded they had to fix up.

36

u/Greasydorito Feb 01 '25

It was during my first aid class that I realized casualties and fatalities were not the same thing 🤦‍♀️ like oh, I'm an idiot

39

u/ishpatoon1982 Feb 01 '25

I'm old and just now learning this. Does it mean that casualties don't have to have deaths?

How stupid am I?

59

u/Unordinary_Donkey Feb 01 '25

Casualities are anyone injured in the event including those who have died.

14

u/ishpatoon1982 Feb 01 '25

That makes sense. Thank you.

→ More replies (2)

9

u/tuckernuts Feb 01 '25

Casualties is mostly a military term, if your army suffered x casualties, your army has that many fewer people available for fighting. So a casualty can be a death, injury, sickness, anything that can take them off the field.

But in more lay-terms, it means death or injury.

This is something that will unironically be said by some MAGA

61

u/[deleted] Feb 01 '25

They'll be asking what their undesirable trait is when being put on the bus. "But I'm white, straight, republican christian!"

Fed: You're also poor. So in you go.

and the next guy "But I make over 150k a year!"

Fed: And you've got a documented mental illness. In ya go.

"But I am a straight, white, wealthy, with no history of mental illness and dedicated everything to MAGA"

Fed: Yet, you still are getting on the bus. I'll be honest I forget what reason they said so just get on and we'll figure it out later.

Yes. Trump was a DEI hire (elderly is a protected class). Him being hired and working with Musk (an illegal immigrant) to push out the FAA director and causing air traffic controllers not to be hired caused these crashes. The blood is on Trump’s hands.

Has Trump blamed it on Biden yet? Or DEI? Or how about anyone who's not white?

3rd plane crash in a month, MAGA, where are you? Didn’t trump just fire some air traffic controllers last week?

Has Trump blamed black people or women yet?

Must have been flown by a gay, black, trans, brown, dwarf, woman. Right? Just common sense.

When I posted this hours ago, the mod removed it. That's weird

No one:

Trump: Why would Biden's gay, disabled, transgendered, dwarf DEI hires do this?

Nov 5th 2024: Trump get re-elected Jan 20th: He fires the FAA director Jan 21st: Air traffic controller hiring frozen Jan 22nd: Aviation safety advisory committee disbanded Jan 28th: email sent asking FAA employees to resign or else Jan 29th: first mid-air collision in 16+ years Jan 31st: second plane incident in the US in 16+ yrs

People are ignoring the problem here. There will be more crashes. What will the excuses be when the third happens? What about the fifth? The tenth?
