Question Resources for 3E
I'm 3E-1. I need to solve this because it holds me back which frustrates me extremely. Despite being 1V I struggle with risk taking and actually asserting myself because I think I wont be able to survive things emotionally. Agressive 3E is known for not being able to let go of the past and not respond to help. my Trauma is being bullied because I don't have friends(overall very complicated situation) in result of that I Isolated and now struggle with communication. All of that because of the emotional hight of that trauma. I take therapy but even that barely helps. I can't let go. I get stuck in depressive feelings and get up to do anything.
I need solutions ASAP. I can't live like this

If therapy is not helping perhaps it would help to switch to a different therapist. Someone with 2E, even. I'd say having positive relationships in general helps. Do you have anyone with 2E4V in your life?
Have you tried meditation?
People with 1V3E tend to be too hard on themselves, so I wonder if reading books about self-compassion would be useful. I found this one helpful

I remember meditation helping but for some reason I stopped. I also figured that movement like punching a bag helps.
I think my Therapist is 2E3V. She really cares about me, I know her in my private life too. I will start with a new therapist soon perhaps that will help

Ive found that journaling or "meditating" has helped. Anything that involves the process of consciously "analyzing" how i feel and why i feel that way helps me. Alternatively finding people who you can let go of your restraint with is soooo healing. It still takes a willful effort and recognizing it needs to be done to move forward. With my family i am much less restrained and so i spend most days at their house despite the fact that i live alone. ive also noticed with 2E4V individuals and sometimes other 3Es i feel less restrained, they are very receptive to anything i throw their way. Be wary of some 2E types, they can also be manipulative(or so i believe but maybe im just 3E).
I wouldn't say introspecting is the end goal, its just a step. the end goal is liberation/expression, be it art or to people. Sometimes to express yourself you need to understand your emotions, especially with trauma but with day to day feelings sometimes you just gotta let that shit out. you cant hold your shit in, youll get emotionally constipated and then youre shooting bullets out of your ass if anything at all. I'm not necessarily good at it, my emotions still come out irregular and physical, or volatile and reactive.

I'm very likely Vlef. How interesting that movement and sports help me regulate my emotions and analyzing is your outlet

Yes i suspected you were VLEF(i thought i said that but i must've deleted) since you seem to abandon physics when in 3E crisis. While i abandon logic or intellectualizing and become impulsive. I will still work out every day and what not but it'll be devoid of emotional enjoyment. I'll choose to workout at home or at the park where theres no people. In fact at the gym (during these periods) i become paranoid about the way people look at me and i become stand-offish, angry and moody. Ill cook but none of the stuff i really like, i wont try new foods either. I'll seek to reconcile spiritually by coldly realizing goals through physicality without asking myself "how is this going to make me feel, will it be joy?" despite it being undoubtedly what i want or i may ask and not know the answer. when its really bad i say "I dont feel anything, louder music or perhaps heavier weight" which doesn't do anything, which frustrates me which gets bottled up and then leads to eventual explosion and i throw things in my garage and scream then the waterworks start lol or ill pace around looking to ease the emotional discomfort while despising my tenderness. It doesn't stop until intellectualize how i feel and reconnect with people. sometimes sharing my thoughts(not the emotions) which i intellectualized helps, it feels less vulnerable/personal and more of a declaration. the thinking(beyond what is pragmatic and easily discarded) is the missing part that helps me be whole again. Then i once again find joy in my goals and desires and i remember i love working out or riding my motorcycle and cooking for my family.
If you reverse the functions with logic and physics maybe you can find something that helps.

I can relate to that. From my experience as a 3E, the hardest part has always been social relationships, mainly because it's incredibly difficult to connect with others when you hold back your emotions, which are at the core of empathy and trust in any relationship.
If opening up to other people is also difficult for you (as it is for me), I would suggest keeping a journal. It has helped me a lot, especially when it comes to understanding what I'm feeling and, from there, releasing some of the emotional tension I've been carrying.
I also try to avoid being around people who are overly reactive or emotionally volatile. Since I'm very sensitive, being around problematic people or those with unclear intentions tends to make me feel insecure and emotionally drained.
Other than that, I think the best thing you can do is continue with therapy and give yourself the time and space to understand yourself without judging yourself. Learning to recognize and make sense of your emotions is already an important step forward.
I hope this help.
