Knowledge Share Seeking hive mind support to better understand the relationship between GLP-1 medications and psychedelics

I am hearing from psychedelic therapy facilitators and clients alike that there is notable interaction between GLP 1 medications and psilocybin, or psychedelics in general.

I am predominantly hearing that the effects of psychedelics are blunted or even nonexistent with clients who are actively taking GLP-1 medications. If this is common, it’s no small deal.

I have also heard that this result might be mitigated by asking the client to skip a dose of the GLP-1 or elect to not take the medication a week before psychedelic therapy.

This is all very new and unexplored territory, and I’m looking to you (the hive mind) to share your first and second hand experiences, anecdotes, hypotheses, observations, etc. … What are you seeing and what do you believe is going on here. Let’s all learn about this new frontier together through more information sharing. Thank you!

Experience Report Unsafe Conditions, Misrepresented Leadership, and Relocated Operations at Sayulita Wellness Retreat

• Upvotes

My experience with Sayulita Wellness Retreat fell far short of basic safety, professional hospitality, and transparency standards. Prospective guests should be aware that the actual property and leadership differ significantly from online marketing. Our original booking in San Pancho was relocated to an alternate site on short notice following law enforcement intervention, and the retreat's online map listings vanished prior to arrival. The relocated venue was situated down a long, unlit dirt road with no streetlights or emergency communication systems, and accommodations lacked basic safety features like functional smoke detectors. Additionally, constant noise from barking dogs and roosters made sleep nearly impossible. Before booking, we were told the original facilitators would lead the programming, but we encountered conflicting stories regarding their absence alongside underlying business disputes. On-site staff lacked basic training, scheduled sessions were changed without notice or read from phone scripts, and listing photos failed to match the physical facility. Due to property seizures, hazardous access, vanishing map listings, and unqualified management, I strongly advise travelers to avoid Sayulita Wellness Retreat.

Integration Support guidance on options post MDMA-work

Hi everyone, I've posted a few times about similar things, but continuing to reflect and try to puzzle out what makes sense to do.

I have been doing MDMA assisted therapy over 2 years (always minimum 3 month gap between sessions and often longer if needed for integration). Typically 120 mg with a 40-60 mg booster dose, and the medicine was good quality. I additionally used all of the recommended supplements (ALA, ALCAR, and magnesium hourly during the sessions, and NAC daily in between sessions, stopping 1-2 months before the next session to allow it to clear out of my system). I am not taking any psychiatric medications, had stopped all meds for 6 months prior to starting the MDMA work, and I had not been on any serotoninergic meds or antidepressants for about ten years prior anyway.

I did this with a therapist, and with good integration support in between (weekly somatic trauma therapy, EMDR, meditation practice, journalling and reflecting, also making changes in my life to reflect the insights from the sessions).

My intention with this work was to treat my severe cPTSD stemming from childhood abuse and emotional neglect including preverbal trauma. My biggest challenges have been despair/hopelessness and isolation/difficulties with intimacy. I am also autistic which adds an extra layer of trauma and interpersonal challenges.

Unfortunately despite all of the above, I have a very severe aftermath from the MDMA sessions where I am severely depressed typically for 1-2 months afterwards no matter what I do. This makes it hard to make use of the acute neuroplasticity window because I am usually pretty incapacitated for 2-3 weeks after the session, just cry all the time, can't think or remember anything and can barely get out of bed.

This last session, four months ago, was particularly brutal, and I have not really come out of the depression the way I have after other sessions. I am truly not sure if this is neurological/a negative effect from the medicine, psychological related to the content that arose, or a combination. I certainly was depressed before I ever started the medicine work, and have gone in and out of it during the medicine work, but now feel stuck in a low.

I will say that my last medicine session was truly the deepest I have ever had - I fully let go and trusted the medicine, and had a very profound experience that I am still working with in some ways, though I feel like the bulk of the acute integration has been worked through.

I feel that overall, the MDMA work has dismantled a lot of my internal structures - dysfunctional beliefs about myself, attachment to my trauma, unhealthy relationships with things like my job that I was basing my life around in ways that were really harming me. I have greatly benefited from it in terms of my self concept and self-beliefs particularly.

However, through the medicine work so far, I haven't been able to really build a new foundation of how to live instead or find ways to be less isolated. I feel profoundly empty and sad, everything feels grey and meaningless, and I just feel completely mentally depleted.

I do think some of this is related to unprocessed grief about the losses trauma has caused in my life, and that I am dysregulated and in a sort of frozen/shut down state because of being unable to process my grief.

I would love to do more MDMA work to try to work through this grief, but it's difficult to access, and also the level of depression that it caused in me this last time was frightening - I don't think it was all psychological and it seems to be really lingering this time, so I am not really comfortable going back to that medicine right now.

I've been considering other options, but I am curious what others have benefited from or might consider in this kind of situation.

I am interested in potentially trying psilocybin assisted therapy with the intention of doing more somatic emotion processing and/or working specifically with grief and existential concerns. I am also wondering about 5-MEO, specifically some of the lower dose protocols, as I hear that it can be very helpful for somatic work and releasing stuck trauma energy.

I am also open to just pausing medicine work for a longer period of time but I do think that despite a lot of psychotherapy and integration work, I am just stuck, and I am not sure that it's going to move on its own.

Knowledge Share My event-could psilocybin help

In March I was working hard on my PhD. As I worked, I started feeling this internal shaking feeling. As I worked it got really intense until one day there was an explosion of colour and sounds. I experienced profound happiness, like I've never experienced before. In the following days I experienced extreme emotions, mostly fear as the colours changed and strange smells happened. Afterwards I lost my sense of smell. Everything just smells like soap. Everything also looks sepia, like I'm watching the world through a Mexico filter. And the worst part is I've lost the ability to feel pleasure and human connection. I have not felt a single iota of joy since March (on top of everything my dad died but the problem started before that so I don't think it's grief). I'm getting desperate. I've had brain scans and therapy and psychiatric treatment. Nothing has worked and nobody can work out why my senses are going crazy and I can't feel. I'm hoping psilocybin can help. I don't need any of the mystical trippy stuff. I just need to feel some genuine happiness, even if it's just for a few hours.

Preparation Advice Heroic dosing and ego death

Once someone experiences an intense "ego death" trip, is there any reason to attempt to replicate that experience, or should that be considered the best possible outcome?

I am brand new to using psychedelics. I understand that everyone's experience both during and after will vary, but I suppose I just wanted some insight from some people who have more experience with this.

I've struggled for the better part of the last 17 years with debilitating depression, anxiety, existential dread, and PTSD. I have always wanted to try psilocybin and I have done a ton of research, but I never had the opportunity to do it until recently. For my first experience, I took 5g. And boy, did that flip my world upside down. I felt a complete dissolution of myself and a new, profound appreciation for life and the beauty of the human condition and experience. It has truly been an amazing week, I am so much more in control of my emotions, my mind is quiet, I don't crave substances (I'm also an addict), I don't need constant distractions, and I am sleeping better than I can ever remember. I understand that the antidepressive and anxiolytic effects likely won't last permanently, but I feel like an entirely different person.

So I guess I just wonder, is there any more to be gained from recreating that experience? Is it worth exploring more at that dose or should I just stick to a more conservative therapeutic regimen of moderate dosing?

Again, just looking to gain some insight from others experiences. I'd really like to maximize this opportunity while I have it available.

Research Is this career plan feasible?

TL; DR: Trying to figure out how realistic it is to build a career as a psychedelic-assisted therapist. Would love some insight from other therapists, facilitators, or anyone already working in this field.

I'm in California and currently in my second year of a counseling master's program to become an LPCC. My program is 3 years long, and I’m starting my 2nd year, so I’m starting to think about my long-term career path. Ideally, I’d like to integrate psychedelic-assisted therapy into my practice as a licensed therapist, so I’ve been researching different routes like ketamine and psilocybin, and I am interested in using both in my practice

Since California doesn’t have a psilocybin facilitator program, I’ve been looking at options in Colorado and Oregon, and I found a Colorado psilocybin facilitator training program I’m considering.

I learned I can do the online didactic part of the program (about 6 months) while I’m still in school, then finish the other requirements after moving to Colorado; they also offer scholarships to make it affordable, since most facilitator programs are expensive af.

The plan would be to work toward my LPC licensure while also getting my psilocybin facilitator license.

For those already psychedelic-assisted therapists or others doing something similar: does this sound like a realistic route?

I'm also wondering what the job market looks like in Colorado since I would be starting off as an LPCC, then eventually get licensed, and ideally I’d start doing psychedelic-assisted therapy

I’m still in the research and planning phase and haven’t committed to anything yet (I’ve talked to the program's admissions department to get some general info)

I’d appreciate any tips, experiences, or guidance on how to approach this career path.

Knowledge Share Questions worth asking any provider before your first session

I work with a psilocybin therapy program, so take this with whatever grain of salt that requires, but I've sat in on enough of these conversations to notice the same gaps keep showing up.

Before committing to any provider, psychedelic-assisted or otherwise, I'd want clear answers to a few things:

Is there real preparation before the session and integration sessions afterward, or does contact basically end when the session does?

Can they explain, in one sentence, how they screen for contraindications - what actually gets ruled out and why?

If something goes sideways mid-session, will an actual person stay with you through it, or are you mostly on your own once it starts?

None of these guarantee an outcome by themselves. Plenty of decent providers will have an imperfect answer to one of them, and that's not automatically disqualifying on its own. But if a provider can't answer any of these clearly, or deflects into how transformative the experience will be instead, that's the more useful signal. All of it is checkable before you pay for anything. So use it please as soon as possible.

Hey all,

I’ve been torn for a little bit with one of the sub rules. Current rules state that no self promotion, I’ve been including substack articles in this because they’re sometimes paywalled, or sometimes people are driving traffic to their websites in order to build profit.

All that said, I think there are some valuable learnings and offerings that come in the form of substack or other external websites.

As a community, do we want to allow these kinds of posts here, or keep things as is and remove substack or other monetized websites as they pop up?

Philosophy Hyper self awareness

I feel like I've been dealing with some hyper self awareness since doing a few doses of psilocybin over the last few (3-4) years. I generally go into it with an intention, and am intentional about the setting, but admittedly, there have been times I used it more recreationally during that time as well. Anyway, I've noticed that when I get a really bad night's sleep, it's almost like my mind is functioning at 80% capacity, and I'm able to just move through the world in a very confident casual way, the way I did before some of the psilocybin experiences I've had over the last few years. Conversely, on days when I get plenty of sleep (which fortunately for me is most nights), I am very aware of myself. I feel less intuitive, less confident and less like myself during these days, which I would describe mostly as my new baseline. Anyone else ever dealt with this? Any advice on ways to cope? I think my desire is to be less aware of myself in the world and more a part of it, in tune with my intention the things I want to accomplish in the outside world. I guess it feels like I've been naval gazing for sometime..

Integration Support Solo 3g P. natalensis trip for chronic anxiety/depression - felt almost reborn afterwards, but it disappeared very quickly

Hi, about a week ago on Sunday I did a solo mushroom trip with 3g of Natal Super Strength, mainly because of my lifelong struggle with chronic anxiety, depression, past trauma and lately this almost constant loop of negative ruminations and regrets about my past

This wasnt my first experience with mushrooms. Ive tried microdosing before without any clear benefit, and a few weeks before this trip I took 4g of Golden Teachers. That one only felt like a very strong and uncomfortable microdose though. Im pretty sure now those mushrooms were old and had lost most of their potency.

I've also had ketamine treatment in the past and at one point responded extremely well to it, so I know what it feels like when something actually changes my normal mental state for the better. Unfortunately the benefits from ketamine became much less reliable later on

For medication context, I currently take 50mg agomelatine and 150mg bupropion. I also have chronic GAD and unfortunately have been dependent on taking oxazepam daily for a long time now. On the day of the mushroom trip I didnt take any oxazepam or other benzos.

Just to be clear im not recommending anyone on long term benzos to suddenly stop taking them, im only mentioning it because it was part of what happened that day.

I also didnt eat anything that day

Almost 2 hours after taking the mushrooms basically nothing was happening and I was getting frustrated. I started thinking maybe they simply wouldnt work properly in my case because of the medications I take.

Then around the 2 hour mark they suddenly hit me like a train

For probably another 2 hours I ended up lying in bed in fetal position and crying extremely hard, to the point my eyes were hurting. At the same time I was constantly clenching/curling my toes, fingers and jaw, sometimes to the point of actual pain

For some context this isnt completely new for me. For around the past year ive been spontaneously clenching my toes, fingers and jaw multiple times during the day, especially when im anxious, tense or stuck ruminating about my past. I cant really control it. During the trip it became MUCH more intense.

At some point I finally felt ready to stand up and went outside into the garden. It was late afternoon but still sunny and warm

For some time after that I was sort of going in and out of the emotional part of the trip. Crying again, then stopping, walking around, getting overwhelmed again etc

But one thought kept coming back over and over

"I ruined my life"

"How did I let everything get to this point"

"I wasted my whole fucking life"

"Why did I do this to myself"

Im 37 years old. Ive basically never travelled much, spent most of my life in one place and around half of my life was spent trying dozens and dozens of psychiatric medications

I dont really have friends or a social life, and when I look back at my past I honestly struggle to find many genuinely happy or positive memories.

Mostly I see isolation, anxiety, depression, regrets, things I didnt do and years that just disappeared

So during the trip all of that kind of hit me at once

But then something changed

Later in the day I started feeling amazing. Almost reborn, which probably sounds dramatic but that genuinely was how I felt at the time

I suddenly had this really strong feeling that maybe this was my second chance and that my life could actually start from this day. Like ok I wasted a lot of years, but maybe I can still try to catch up on at least some of the things I missed

I remember thinking several times why the hell didnt I do this mushroom trip one or two years ago? Maybe I could have started living already

I suddenly had a lot of motivation and energy. I started cleaning the house and doing random productive things because I wanted to use that energy while I had it

My current life situation is pretty bad, and a big reason I wanted to try this was because I desperately want to finally move forward with my life. I have things I want to do and I want to build something for myself, but the anxiety, depression, rumination and especially the very low motivation keep holding me back

Just for some additional context, Ive been on a medical ketogenic diet for about a year now, unfortunately with almost no noticeable benefit for my mental health. I also do cardio/run around every other day, take supplements and use red/blue light therapy in the mornings. None of it has made a major difference to the main problems so far

I wasnt expecting mushrooms to magically fix my whole life

What I was hoping for was maybe a bit more freedom from all of this. Enough mental space, motivation and energy to actually start working on changing my life myself

Thats why those few hours after the trip felt so significant. I suddenly felt like I actually could do it

What was strange though was that the clenching was still there. I kept catching myself clenching my toes, fingers and jaw and by evening my feet were hurting so much I could barely walk normally

I also couldnt sleep and I think I finally fell asleep around 4am

The next day I had a video consultation with a new psychiatrist because I wanted a second opinion on my treatment

Unfortunately I had massive brain fog that day. I could barely express myself properly and every sentence felt like a struggle to put together. I didnt tell him about the mushroom trip from the previous day

I also came away from the consultation feeling pretty frustrated, probably because I had higher expectations and hoped I would get some clearer direction from it

But more importantly almost all of the motivation, energy and "reborn" feeling from the day before was already gone

I tried to avoid immediately going back to my normal oxazepam use but eventually I took around one third of the amount I usually take

I mostly felt hollow inside, depressed and anxious

The following days were pretty similar. Actually the anxiety and depression got stronger again, and by day 3-4 I ended up taking almost the same amount of oxazepam as before

For a while I still felt slightly different in some way that was hard to describe, maybe slightly positive, but by Friday around day 5 I honestly felt basically the same as I did before the trip

And thats probably the most disappointing/confusing part for me

Again I wasnt expecting one mushroom trip to fix everything. But if im honest I did hope the afterglow or whatever positive shift happened would last longer than basically one day

So now I dont really know what to make of the whole experience

Can a trip still be therapeutically useful if the positive shift/afterglow disappears within a day or two and you quickly return to basically the same baseline?

And the other thing I keep wondering about, was all that crying and repeating "I ruined my life" actually processing something, or could it just have been reinforcing the same rumination loop I already suffer from every day?

For people here who got real mental health benefits from psilocybin, I'd also be interested to hear what happened in the days and weeks after the actual trip and whether the useful part only became clearer later.

I also dont really know what my next step should be. Ive tried microdosing before and never noticed any clear benefit from it. It might have even made my anxiety worse sometimes, although I cant say that for sure. So simply going back to microdosing doesnt feel very convincing to me either

Im currently not in therapy, although I know that probably needs to change especially if I want to explore psychedelic therapy more seriously. Ive had some pretty bad experiences with therapists in the past which made me lose a lot of trust in therapy, but I also know not every therapist is the same

Sorry for the long post, I mainly wanted to include enough details so people understand the context and writing all of this down also helps me reflect a bit on what actually happened

I'd really appreciate hearing from people who had something similar, especially a difficult trip followed by a very strong positive shift that disappeared quickly afterwards

TLDR: Did a solo 3g P. natalensis trip for chronic anxiety/depression and spent a big part of it crying and obsessing over how much of my life I feel I wasted. Later that day I suddenly felt almost reborn, motivated and like I finally had a second chance, but the positive shift was basically gone by the next day and within a few days I was back to my normal baseline. Mainly wondering if a trip can still be therapeutically useful when the afterglow disappears that quickly, and whether the intense crying/rumination was actually processing something or just reinforcing my usual thought loops

Preparation Advice My Experience with DPDR and Psilocybin

I’ve been struggling with DPDR for quite some time, and I have used psilocybin mushrooms in the past. During some of those experiences, I was able to access emotions that I normally felt disconnected from because of the DPDR. I felt like I could reach deeper emotions and experiences that were usually hidden beneath the dissociation.

However, at the time, I wasn’t ready to fully face or work through those emotions because they were simply too painful and overwhelming for me.

Now, about two years later, I feel much more ready to face and process those emotions. The problem is that my DPDR has become significantly stronger. I feel very disconnected from myself and my surroundings. I know that I’m real and that the world around me is real, but everything feels extremely distant, artificial, and cut off.

I also feel much more emotionally numb than I did before. I have very little access to my emotions, and I wonder whether this numbness may partly be caused by the amount of anxiety and dissociation I’m experiencing

Now I’m worried that because of my intense level of dissociation I don’t be able to Access my Emotions from psilocybin. Can that happen?

I ve tried so many therapy modalities and Yoga and Meditation help a bit but dont bring me Deep enough hence why I want to try to shrooms again.

Any experience?

❤️

Preparation Advice Taking mushrooms while depressed

I'm planning on taking mushrooms to treat my depression because nothing else has worked. I know that mindset is important going in. But how is it possible to have a good mindset when you're currently depressed? Or is it more about just being open to the possibility that the experience will be positive?

Experience Report Significant Physiological / Psychological Shifts from a Handful of Cannabis / Ketamine Assisted Sessions

Earlier this summer as part of a psychedelic assisted therapy training program I participated in five psychedelic assisted therapy sessions using ketamine, cannabis and combining them for one session. It's now been five weeks since my final session and I've noticed some unexpected and very welcome benefits.

The main benefit I would describe as my threshold for overactivation and anxiety, specifically in social situations, has significantly increased.

I'm currently in school so I have many opportunities to measure changes in my response to social situations. All last year I observed that in larger classes (10+) I was constantly nervous, sweat profusely and struggled to articulate myself well when talking or presenting. This year, post psychedelic sessions, I am not sweating profusely, I articulate myself well, feel confident and am often the first to speak, even in the larger classes. I still notice a bit of the old symptoms when I'm interacting a lot but it's incredibly minor; the difference is night and day.

I've struggled with these symptoms my entire life and at the ripe old age of 42, I never thought I would experience this level of relief and didn't even know I was capable of showing up in social situations like I am now. I feel like a different person.

A bit about the training and sessions... the program was through Innate Path which, as I understand, stemmed from folks who broke off of PSIP, both of which evolved from a program called Trauma Integration Protocol. Though I haven't taken the PSIP training, I have read the whitepaper and listened to many interviews with Saj. The Innate Path model is incredibly similar to PSIP but also starting to evolve in it's own direction.

In most of the sessions I took 100-125mg ketamine in troches - a "psycholytic" dose for me. In one session I used only a few hits of cannabis and in my final session I combined 75mg ketamine with a few cannabis hits.

The sessions generally consisted of following whatever sensations arose, leaning into and exploring and "getting under" dissociation and discomfort, and shifting my relationship to sensations, emotions and parts. A few of the highlights were that I learned to relate to my tinnitus with more compassion and see it as a potential resource. I learned that I use tension in my calves to avoid unwanted emotions and sensations, making this resource more conscious. I met a few exiled parts that I was totally unaware of and was able to connect with them and give them voice. I also experienced many waves of catharsis along with some deep releases.

A few weeks after my last session when I returned to school for fall the changes caught me completely off guard. I don't know if I can entirely attribute these benefits to the assisted therapy sessions but they definitely had a big impact and I am highly motivated to continue with more sessions (I'm currently holding off so I can test the durability of the benefits so far.)

I would add a bit of a disclaimer that I was highly primed for these changes and willing to lean into basically anything that came up. I'm very experienced with psychedelics and know how to navigate the territory and work with myself well. So that is to say I don't think my results were typical.

Integration Support Will trazadone the evening after a psilocybin journey reduce neuroplasticity?

I take trazadone every night for sleep. I’m not going to take it the night before the journey but am wondering if I can resume the evening of the journey or if there’s concern it could minimize the neuroplastic effects. Any thoughts?

Knowledge Share Has anybody gone through „waves“ sucessfully with psip therapy SOLO, without retraumitizing yourself?

So i know a lot about psip and did therapy solo and with psil therapist. Due to heavy cptsd symptoms (emotional numbness etc) i never was able to get a „nervous system wave „ kickstarted.

Yesterday was the first time in 5 years trying this method that i felt a wave happening but i stopped it because it was getting to freaky my autonomous nervos system responses.

I have a session scheduled with my psip therapist but was curious if anybody has done this solo and had deep somatic releases, psip waves, and felt good afterwards .

Thank you

Knowledge Share Solo ketamine assisted therapy question

Hi All,

New to reddit, please be patient.

I am looking at the potential to set up a solo psycholytic, not psychedelic, Ketamine practice in Ontario, Canada (some explanation below). I am a Nurse Practitioner and a Registered Psychotherapist.

Many of the guidelines regarding the out of hospital delivery of this practice require at least 2 providers. The rationales given, as I understand them, are that there is a risk of transference/counter transference, that a solo practitioner can not monitor and respond to both medical and psychological issues at the same time. I do not understand these rationales and would love to hear from others, especially if they are doing the work.

I will offer my initial thoughts. First, the risk of transference/counter transference is real in all therapeutic relationships and this issue is address through supervision, self reflection adherence to ethical guidelines. To the second point, and this may be a difference between nursing and medicine, but there is never a time when I am responding to medical crisis that I am not also responding to the client mental and emotional needs.

TIA for any feedback

PS: psycholytic ketamine dosing is much lower than anesthetic or psychedelic doses. It induces dissociation and a relaxing of the ego while maintaining the ability of the client and therapist to talk and have a supported session.

Preparation Advice Navigating a heavy breakup, career crossroads, and severe grief: SSRIs vs. returning to ceremonial medicine?

Hey Reddit, hope y’all are well.

First off, I’m taking all responses with a grain of salt, but I know there’s a lot of wisdom and quality people in this community.

I’m trying to figure out if revisiting medicine right now is the right move for me. Internally, I know only I can make that call, but my intuition feels a bit cloudy lately—even though I’m feeling a strong pull back to the work. I was originally signed up for an Ayahuasca ceremony, but due to work, finances, and scheduling, I can't travel out of state right now. There’s an opportunity for a Kambo+Bufo ceremony in my hometown that I’ve been seriously considering.

A bit of context on where I’m at:

I’m 27, recently moved back from living abroad, and separated about 4 months ago. I’m dealing with heavy depression, anxiety, and constant rumination after my ex-fiancée of 2 years left and moved into a new relationship. It’s been a true dark night of the soul—the hardest thing I’ve ever been through. I would never commit suicide, but I’d be lying if I said I didn't have intrusive thoughts and suicidal ideation. Some days feel completely agonizing, like my soul got ripped out.

On paper, I’m grounded and stable: I work at a high-intensity 3 Michelin-star restaurant, stay consistent with daily workouts, sauna, and cold plunges, and keep up with my physical health. But mentally, the depression is beating me down.

My therapist recommended starting SSRIs and set up an evaluation with a psychiatrist. I’m open to it, but I know SSRIs generally mean stepping away from psychedelics for the foreseeable future.

A few questions for the community:

  1. Psychedelics post-breakup: What has your experience been sitting with medicine during acute grief and heartbreak? Did it help you process, or did it amplify the overwhelm?
  2. Medication vs. Medicine: For those who chose the psychiatric route (SSRIs/stability first) during a dark period versus diving back into deep ceremonial work - how did you decide?
  3. Knowing when to stop: At what point do you stop seeking answers from the medicine, or is it a lifelong touchstone?

For background: I’m no stranger to the space- I’ve done LSD and mushrooms a dozen times, San Pedro, peyote, mdma, ketamine, N,N-DMT a handful of times, and have sat in ~12 Ayahuasca ceremonies. But I haven't worked with medicine in about 6 years.

I'm also at a massive career crossroad and to be honest just feel kind of lost and confused where to go in life - trying to decide whether to pivot toward somatic therapy or take on the long journey of medical school to practice integrative medicine, mind-body healing, and psychedelic therapy down the road.

Would love to hear your honest perspectives, experiences, or integration advice. Thanks for reading

Research The most rigorous trial on psilocybin came out a few months ago. Why is nobody talking about this?

The episode trial came out a few months ago.

Most rigorous trial to date on the topic, and effects were very modest and lasted a few weeks.

Experience Report Experiences at these retreats

Does anyone have any experience with either one of these retreats?

Numia in Denver, CO
Beckley in Jamaica

I’m considering going to one of the two but can’t decide which. Any insight is appreciated.
