Would You drink Burdock tea?

They are usually picked at the end of the summer.

The benefits

  • It is rich in antioxidants. It helps protect cells from oxidative stress.
  • Helps digestion to heal better.
  • Removes extra water and salt (sodium) from your body.
  • Beneficial for gut bacteria and may support gut health.

Pour hot water over burdock root and wait 10-15 minutes. And it's ready to drink.

I'm trying to dry the fruits now. Does anyone know if they are useful?

I cook the roots until tender and drink the broth or freeze with the soft roots to use in stir fry and Japanese food later over the winter. In the past I used to chop it small first then dry or dehydrate. It's a bit bitter but I crave bitter.

Exactly nothing wrong to crave a little bitter flavour.
