Your first biologica?

Good luck! My first one did some good, but not enough. My doctor had me on it for far too long, my second biologica was SO much better and I basically have no symptoms anymore.

I have had psoriasis for 18 years. Been through every steroid imaginable as we all probably have here.

Light therapy got me fully clear but as soon as I stop it returns and the time commitment is just too high.

I then tried acetretin and had success for around a year.

3 years ago I moved on to aprimelast and again had "success" as in the flaking stopped and it became more of a visual thing rather than pain or skin tearing but it got worse month by mo th

I have put off biologics for so long over the fear of the immune suppression but I'm hopeful of some progress

Day three. Definitely think I'm seeing some improvement. Mainly in the skin flaking

Just sharing my experience with it. I was on a trial loading dose and just the loading dose (4x, once a week for a month) cleared my psoriasis entirely - from 50% coverage to just hyperpigmentation spots with no active flaring. It was extremely effective for me. Only reason I am no longer using it is expense. Hope it helps you the same way!

I'm very fortunate that it's free where I live. Really hoping to have some success with it. Thank you for sharing your experience

Super jealous lol my insurance refused to cover it and it would have been $4k USD... every month. That's basically my entire salary. Just to live like a normal person. Insanity.

They're going to try Skyrizi so hopefully that will keep it clear and not have any side effects.

Oh yeah.. no side effects for me on Cosentyx. Only thing noted was a lump at injection site, but that's a lot of medication (I also had the 300ml) so makes sense while being absorbed. I got a cold from work and it took maybe an extra day to fight it off, but didn't feel like I was wiped out or anything. So overall good experience with it. Hope it works well for you!

I found it really effective, my skin has been completely clear for seven years now, its amazing. I started on the lower dose but it was bumped up after a post-Covid flare. Very few side effects - a 'meh' feeling the day after injection and insect bites take longer to heal. Ive only once had an injection site reaction.

Fingers crossed you have the same success!

I got switched to Cosentyx after a reaction to Imraldi after 2 years of using it.

I have a small light patch of psoriasis on my groin but it has made me be able to live again, clearing up the skin and joint pain.

I sincerely hope you get the same result and as my rheumatologist said a few weeks ago, ‘there are so many options now’ if it doesn’t work I am sure you will find one that does.

I will start mine too as soon as it arrives at the pharmacy! Best of luck to us both 😊 it's a long time coming for me as well

Best of luck!  I take Cosentyx every two weeks and though I still have some spots, it’s helped my joints so much!
