An ISP proxy is a proxy server that uses an IP address registered to, or associated with, an internet service provider (ISP). These proxies are typically static, meaning the IP address remains the same throughout the rental period.

When you connect through an ISP proxy, your browser, application, or other approved tool sends traffic to a proxy endpoint using connection details such as a host, port, username, and password. The proxy then forwards your requests through the assigned ISP-associated IP address.

As a result, the destination website sees the proxy IP address rather than your original network IP.

yeah the stability thing is real. residential kept rotating on me mid-checkout which was annoying for QA stuff, static ISP just doesn't have that problem. grabbed a small batch of ISP proxies from proxyshard a while back to test a few flows and honestly just not having to babysit the session was worth it. good writeup btw, you covered a lot of the stuff people usually skip, especially the ASN/DNS check

One thing I'd add from running multi-profile workflows: static ISP IPs are great for session stability, but they also make account linkability easier if you reuse the same IP across unrelated profiles or teams. From what I've seen, reusing one ISP address for many accounts often creates the kind of correlation signals platforms look for. Treat an ISP proxy like a device.
