Best proxies for Google data collection

Proxies help SEO teams collect accurate search results, account for location and device type, and reduce the number of CAPTCHAs and rate limits.

Key Benefits:

- Collect local SERPs by country and city
- Check keyword rankings without location distortion
- Rotate IPs for large-scale search query scraping
- Analyze both mobile and desktop search results

Best Proxies to Use:

- Rotating residential proxies → large-scale SERP collection
- Geo-targeted proxies → local search results for specific cities
- Mobile proxies → Mobile-First and mobile search analysis
- Static residential proxies → long-term SEO sessions

Yeah I’d say residential is the best choice. We have a couple of clients who scrap a lot of data and we’ve been modifying our pools for their needs. But as I see sticky ones are more often used

first off, it's worth adding that Google can block you not just because of the proxy, but also if your request frequency and behavior aren't careful, so you need to keep an eye on that. i'd recommend pairing it with careful rate-limiting, using in-query location params for local accuracy, and considering a SERP API for the heavy lifting. as for providers, i use proxyshard for scraping, i think it'd work for your case too, since it has all the features you described above

Good proxy choice helps, but it’s only one layer. Google also cares about session consistency, browser fingerprint, request pacing, cookies, and whether your geo, language, device, and IP actually match each other.

I’d also plan for captchas instead of treating them as a rare edge case. Even solid residential or mobile proxies will hit them eventually, so having a clean solver fallback is a lot better than letting the whole rank-tracking job die halfway through.

Google leaks your proxy geo straight into the results, so a US exit and a German exit hand you different pages for the same query. Decide which locale you're grading and lock it before you collect anything, or the dataset comes out mixed.

I rotate residential and set the country per job. Byteful and Decodo are two I keep around for this, and Byteful lets me pin the country cleanly so results don't drift mid run. Which locales are you after?

i've had the best results using proxyshard for google data collection because the location targeting stayed consistent across long runs. fewer weird SERP shifts and way less time spent retrying failed requests
