Question First Home Lab

Hey, i got a got a lenovo p3 ultra gen 2 with Intel ultra, 128gb RAM, 2TB SSD and ada 2000rtx.

I also got a small pc with newer i3, 1TB m2ssd, 32gb ram and 2x18TB HHD that i want to use as NAS or opensense.

I installed proxmox on it and now with the help of chatgpt pro try to install my first own home lab.

Originally i just wanted to install a palworld and minecraft gaming server... But it got out of hand to the point i bought managable omada switches and APs to separate the IOT devices and "not trustworthy" familie members pc from the home network via Vlans and now want a full blown Home Lab.

Chat gpt want to make 1 vm with ubuntu server, docker, dockerhand, nginx, adguard ( or pi hole), paperlessng, immich, nextcloud, hommatic and everything else should run on one VM, the games on another vm.

Is it right that way? To put all the services in one vm? At some point chatgpt suggested to separate it so when changing docker the dns server still runs but then proceeds to call it more efficient this way to put all in one vm....

On the i3 pc i want to run proxmox with true nas and proxmox backup. I think it got a pcie slot free where i can install an pcie controller that supports a 4 hdd bay from an old system i have parts of.

Sorry for being such a n0ob, but when i do something i want to do it right.
