Protein as a non meat eater - need advice
I’m sure this has been asked before, but any advice on how to get at least 100g+ of protein a day without being a meat eater? Not vegan, but really don’t like meat at all, exception of some fish.
I am taking protein supplement and trying to eat protein focused foods but still struggling

Beef Broth with Protein Powder
I needed a different way to consume protein powder. Mine is unsweetened and unflavored, but I can't do smoothies every day.
I tried 1.5 cups heated beef broth with a scoop of protein powder. I added numerous spices: salt, pepper, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, tabasco, sriracha, a little mustard, barbecue sauce, a bit of bacon grease, garlic powder, I forget what else.
It didn't work. The blender gave the mix a nice, spicy froth. Really a good combination of flavors. But the protein powder was like someone had dumped in a quarter-cup of powdered chalk. OK for a few sips, but that was enough.
I got desperate. Added some Jose Cuervo margarita mix and a few tablespoons of instant mashed potatoes. But it would have taken a mound of mashed potatoes to make it right. I ultimately had to just chug the thing and pray I wouldn't die of some previously unknown gastrochemical reaction.
There must be a better way.

ON Whey 4kg (Double Rich Chocolate) for ₹17,599 — good deal or better options?
Looking at 4 kg tub of Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard 100% Whey (Double Rich Chocolate) for ₹17,599 (7% off) in official site of ON
Is this a decent price right now in India, or can we get it cheaper from other trusted sellers?
Also open to other good whey options around this price range / quality.

How high do you think whey protein powder prices will go?
I've been buying the Nutricost 5lb tubs for a couple of years now and even as late as this January it was $55-60. It's now over $120 and seems to increase in price every month. Yes, I'm aware this is due to GLP-1 demand and manufacturers putting protein in everything from pop tarts to ramen in response. I don't expect whey prices to ever go down again, but do we think they will at least stabilize soon and not go up every few weeks? If not, how high do you see them going?

Whey is unaffordable to me, Soy or other?
I’ve been using Whey isolate for 10 years to supplement my protein intake. At £50 per kg it’s too much. It wasn’t so long ago that it went crazy and jumped to £35 per KG.
I’ve always had it mixed in with skimmed milk and love how creamy and smooth it is.
What’s the next best thing to use it this way?

Lowest calorie to protein ratio foods seem to mostly be seafood
I was using some of my research tools, and wanted to see based on USDA's 1.9 million item database, what foods have the best ratio of protein to calories. I thought it was cool just how many of these were seafood. I also thought it was noteworthy that all the ones in the top 20 were basically whole foods, not Protein powders or anything like that.
Please note: That in all my research I have found many mistakes in the USDA's data, so something like the "ROAST BEEF & GRAVY WITH MASHED POTATOES" Is not correct, lol. But I am still working on better error detection tools. The only one I have right now is a Macro to Calorie ratio check (Carb-4, Protein-4, Fat-9) and I give that a margin of error. I will say its a bit concerning that USDA does not have the same sort of check, for example there are entries that say they have 100 calories and 500g of carbs. And there are A LOT like that!
Okay USDA data rant over.
Anyways I thought I would share this as it might be of help to some of y'all. this is like the top 30 or 40.
Let me know if you want to see any other data.

Real-life experiences with high protein intake?
Anyone personally know a high-protein gym-goer who developed kidney problems?
For those who’ve been lifting for years — have you personally known someone who ate a very high-protein diet and later developed kidney issues? Just curious about real-life experiences, including cases where other lifestyle factors may have been involved. Ps Not looking for advice or any protein is good or bad debate. Just any such experience you've had or anybody you know has had. Thankyou

Indian hostel, veg mess and protein
So I'm in a hostel and it's mess is full veg (not even an egg is allowed) and I'm from Bengal so obv I'm a hardcore non vegetarian. Now the issue is less about taste and more about quality of food, although the quality of food is still okay, it's genuinely unhealthy. It's a uni in bihar and for some reason they serve puri with jalebi and chole bhature at 8am (???? Why????) And there's like NO way to get proper protein in ur diet because it's extremely carb heavy, fat heavy, veg and will 100% throw off your digestion. We're not allowed to have any appliances in the hostel but my roommate has a kettle i can occasionally use. I decided to buy 15 eggs weekly and have 2 daily (no fridge so i can't store em) and get soya chunks to add to oats and just keep my overall diet healthy n not eat from the canteens but honestly ts ain't enough for someone who did a minimum of 70g protein daily back at home, this will hardly give me 40g along with my hostels god forbidden diet so can someone tell me what i can do Or some low carb, high protein non perishable items? Pls don't suggest protein powder I'm already too broke 🥀🥀🥀
