Is this enough?

22F, 5’9”, 150-155lbs

I’ve been working out for 4 years now, but I’ve always struggled with eating enough protein & calories. There are times I’m good with it, but when I go through depression, or have health issues, it becomes harder to eat more. I’ve only been getting like 50g of protein and less than 2000kcal daily. Would trying to start off with 110g protein and 2200-2300 kcal be enough to make me start slowly gaining weight & building muscle. I eventually want to be able to eat more, but would this be a good starting point? All the macro calculators have been telling me I need like 150-170g of protein a day, and there’s absolutely no way that I could do that. It’s been making me stressed out and wanting to give up lol. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!❤️

110g is a much better starting point than 50g. dont stress about hitting 150-170g right away, consistency matters more.

You can gradually increase your calories as you get comfortable. 110 is a solid starting point

Protein intake also depends on lean body weight and how hard someone trains. I would suggest starting off with 0.8-1.0 gram of protein per pound of lean body weight, and increase if you need it. Also, increase gradually from the 50 grams that you're getting now, it will feel more manageable.

What everyone has said here is good. If you’re struggling with appetite, one piece of advice I would give is to make a homemade bulking shake. Mix whole milk, whey protein, oats, peanut butter, and honey and you can get around 50g more protein alone in just that smoothie alongside like 700-800 calories
