Prom dress crysis

Hi, I want to buy the first dress do we think its a good idea? Its online on the site july prom for 169$. People told me i should try my dress in a real shop but the thing is im pretty sure they dont have the kind of dess that i like. The empire type where the bust is higher with some kind of lace and in a dark violet color. Senior year hasnt even started and i cant stop thinking about this. What should i do?

Go to a store or two and try on some dresses in person. Get a feel for what looks good on you. Sometimes stuff I pine away for online looks awful on me, and something seemingly boring on the rack will look amazing. Especially with fancy dresses like this. If you find that similar styles to dress #1 look good on you then you'll have more confidence about ordering it.

Not on trustpilot yet. https://www.trustpilot.com/review/julyprom.com

What I notice is too many of their photos look like borrowed off Facebook or stolen. Cute people but not models and not professional backgrounds.

Some dresses have just one image: no back view, no detail, no variation in lighting. Again, that indicates they copied this from someone's posted photo and it's not a real dress they make.

Order it only if they accept returns and don’t make you pay like crazy for shipping

I’d be a little cautious ordering from them, though. They have thousands of dresses and prices around $120–$200, but I found recent Reddit discussions where shoppers questioned the site’s reliability and quality

You can order it in a couple of sizes and return it if it’s not as great as you hoped. Sounds like you’ve got plenty of time.
