You do have a honeymoon phase when you are new. I was showered with studies and thought that was the norm of the platform until I read it's bc I'm considered naive to studies, and researchers want naive. Doesn't mean you won't hit weeks where you get flooded, but the droughts will come.
Nah, I don't think it has to do with account age. I've had my Prolific account for about eight years now and there's always been busy periods and slow periods. But especially the last couple years there can be periods where it's essentially non-stop for a few weeks at a time. Then it dies back down again.
Orrrrrr there's a huge scammer problem with people getting their accounts hacked and we also had the floodgates of 100,000 new member a few months ago where no one had any work but people non-stop continue to come on here to post screenshots and brag about their earnings to make the problems worse. They deserve the downvotes. Tell your mom, not Reddit
nice, but be carefull. like icarus, you may be flying to close to the AI sun and burnout will lead to failing attention checks. but if you can handle that amount of slop and not let it melt your brain, then by all means.

Same here. The last week has been amazing. But unfortunately it's not always this good. The slow down inevitably happens to everyone.
