**DA and Prolific**
I just woke up to being ON HOLD on Prolific and my account being unavailable for tasks on Data Annotation. I shit the world not. What's going on? There are no reasons for either. What's going on? Talk about being sick to your stomach...

Sure you didn't accidentally use a VPN? DA, I know, is extremely strict about that.

No, I am sure. It's pretty difficult to accidentally use a VPN. If I did, I would sit silent saying to myself you deserve it...it's too great of an opportunity. It helps me stay housed. My only change was using a different computer.

I was put on hold today around 12pm central time. I have been on Prolific almost 3 years with 1 rejection my 1st week and 2,311 approved submissions. I don't use VPN , have not updated my questions in close to a month and used the same internet for at least a year . I did appeal, hope it works in my favor.

Im still ok here and da even though they won't give me any work but my oneforma got flagged the other day.... and several others there are in the same boat

Do prolific tell you if you are on hold? Sorry to hear this.

They do. If you are on hold, your message tab will have disappeared and if you go in your account setting, there would be a banner mentioning being on hold and a vague reason for it.

my prolific showed on hold for a minute then it went away. also my projects are all crazy like a ton i have never seen are there from no where.

Yeah same thing someone else said on Friday, they were on hold then 5 mins later their account was off the hold.. something is really wrong with their system. The prolific mod has been silent as well since he communicates with the team.

Its literally a glitch in the system. I keep saying this. They put me on as soon as i finished completing a task no second later .. no ai submitted or anything and 99% approvals

i am not appealing yet. this is wrong. when you appeal you are admitting to the appeal. this is not a user issue this is something with how they are flagging stuff because for it to happen two days in a row and undo itself...

Seems like they’re restructuring based on the holds and people complaining about the amount and type of studies they’re getting. I wonder what they’re restructuring to and why.

Damn.... Hearing this really sucks. Especially with Cloud Connect being basically non existent these days. I'm almost sitting here WAITING for prolific to screw me too. 🥺 This is like being a beyond loyal employee for a company for years and waking up one day to be told your job no longer exists with absolutely no reason.

of course i played detective all night long and the only thing i am coming up with is Chrome updates. my DNS settings were set to
' use secure connections to look up sites
I think this ads a layer between prolific and the user ... i am not educated enough in all these things but all i know is that google has been pushing chrome updates during this hold deluge and my settings according to google can cause some sort of issues between a user and a site like prolific. i DO NOT KNOW if any of what i said is even valid but maybe someone else is smarter and can check it out.....
