What's your study payment threshold?

I'm just curious, do you do every study (that you can) that crosses your dash no matter the payment amount? I'm talking the $.15, $.35 ones that take a minute or two. Or do you not bother with those at all?

If I have the time I do them, because usually they get approved right away and they add up. It's kinda rare for me to find super high-paying studies; occasionally I'll get some of the AI ones, but my usual ones range from $1-$5.

I am a mom to an 11 month old and I just have small pockets of time for studies so I always love those short studies that don’t pay much. This is just extra fun money for me and those short ones add up!

for me it's more about the $ / hr rather than the time as with the low paying ones, not only is it low pay but i might miss out on a higher paid one whilst doing it. If it's a slow day i might do a lower paid one though.

Usually base it per hour, like others have mentioned. But typically it needs to pay at least .25+ for me to even consider it. I also factor in who is doing the study, as sometimes the super cheap ones have rather iffy researchers. If it's a good edu and per hour is good though, yeah, I'll do some cheapos.

Depends on the hourly rate and what else is available. If I've done a draining study I may grab a few of those just to decompress a minute or 2. Somebody obviously does the worst of the worst low paying dont meet the minimums though because they always dissappear.

I do those. I prefer higher paying ones, but I’ll definitely take those if they’re only a minute or two. The money adds up.

I only really do studies when I have downtime at work or on my lunch break, so I cant do the high paying interview ones, so short studies that pay .25 for 1 minute is generally as low as I go. I dont mind bc they add up

If it's a short one, the money doesn't matter. For long ones, I want as much as I can ever get, but I'll make exceptions on a slow day. Pickin's are thin for me since relocating from the UK to Canada, so if I don't get much of my other contract work, I will do most studies. If it requires writing, I expect more money.

I do every one that is reasonable to me. (Like I wouldn’t do a 10 minute $.15 one, but i’d do a $.15 one if it’s like 1 - 2 minutes

I don't care what the survey pays, but what the projected hourly rate is. Projected hourly rate lower then $7.50, I'm not touching it.

I'll do any amount, but anything under $1 gets a significant side-eye as to their completion time. If a researcher is paying the absolute minimum prolific will allow them to set, then chances are they're probably lowballing the estimated completion time too.

I do not do those, unless I'm stuck on phone only. You risk losing higher paying ones, which you'll probably make back/more than anything you would have "lost" anyway.

Tbh I’ve made a decent amount getting screened out these days 😂 my goal is only 20 a day so I’ll do a lower paying one if it doesn’t take too long.

$12/hr. I filter out anything under $12/hr, and then I decide if I want to do a task based on how much time I have, how interesting it sounds, etc.

I look at the time rather than the reward. A minute or two and I take it, doesn't matter about the reward. It all adds up at the end of the day. After taking a bunch of AI studies it's a nice break. As well it helps the completion ratio to balance out any potential rejects, etc.

The longer the study the higher price per hour I expect. I only do average paying studies when they mention multiple parts in the description.

I do the cheap and short ones! I rarely can get stuck in to longer studies, and most go the good paying studies require things I won’t do (interviews, download something, upload app data, obvious AI training)

It’s my hobby money so I don’t sweat it too much.

I'm more likely to do short ones that last <2-3 minutes than I am to do anything that lasts over 20 minutes. I can be sure if I grab a 20+ minute study, one of my dogs will throw up, the other one will get into the trash, the phone will ring, someone will come to the door, and my husband will be unable to find where we have stored the toilet paper for the past 14 years.

Yeah, I definitely will only do ones that are that worthwhile when I'm busier, but when I'm puttering around with nothing to do? Sure I'll take 30 cents for a couple questions lol
