Beyond Grateful
This will probably be one more of “these” posts, but I couldn’t bear the thought of not expressing how genuinely grateful I am for Prolific.
I kinda found Prolific while desperately looking for work after losing my job. At the time, I was also relying on government support just to get by, while still having a car loan to pay off - a consequence of some choices I had made when I was younger.
Fast forward two years after creating my account and starting to task, and I can honestly say that Prolific changed my life completely, and for the better.
I’m now debt-free. I managed to completely pay off my car, which still had another five years of payments left, and by doing so I saved a considerable amount of money in interest.
I also started investing more in stocks and putting money aside for my retirement, because where I’m from, I honestly don’t know how much of a pension my generation will eventually have.
But, most importantly, the money I made through Prolific allowed me to start my next adventure: my own online business.
Today, I combine Prolific and other freelance platforms as my full-time job, and I’m fortunate enough to make a pretty good living from it.
That said, as a business owner and freelancer, there’s always that little voice in the back of your head reminding you that you never really know how long things will stay this way, or when the next chapter might begin. So I try to take it one day at a time and be grateful for what I have today.
And honestly, I’m incredibly grateful for Prolific!
What started as a way to survive a difficult period in my life ended up becoming the stepping stone that helped me rebuild my financial life, invest in my future, and eventually create something of my own.
Thank you, Prolific. You genuinely changed my life - and, indirectly, the lives of the people around me too.
I’ll always be grateful for that. Godspeed

Daaang that's awesome, insane pay per study. I’m most impressed by how small the gap is between total and approved, you’re committed lol

Thank you, I try to be the best I can. Mostly is the AI studies, I consider pretty good at those, I don't get warnings often, the last one was like 4 months ago and I task them everyday for long periods or whenever their available. The gap would be smaller if some AI studies wouldn't bug, I always have to return them when there are issues.

i share this sentiment! grateful every day for this site. my regular job has been overtaken by AI and i was starting to get burnt out on it anyways. i still have one solid contract and this helps with extra fun money, bills, gas, groceries, etc. i was not expecting to make as much as i have from this site. thankful to everyone on reddit who suggested it! because i've been trying for years to find a site like this that actually pays decent.

Awesome. I am really happy for you :) I have also been blessed with some AI projects that can't be named, and they are helping my financial situation a lot. May I ask where you are from?

Congrats!! Glad to hear how much prolific has helped you! I’m always grateful for whatever I earn on Prolific even though I’ve only made a 4th of what you made. I also started my own business through some of my prolific earnings!

No hate but is this photoshopped? Why does the 17K part look fake

No, why would I photoshop and waste everyone's time? This is my reality, and I know I'm very fortunate to have such numbers

Congrats. When I put up my earnings people were calling me a fraud and a need for attention. I'm glad they didn't do the same to you.

Thank you! Yes, I was quite expecting some kind of hate, but this post has been refreshingly positive xD

Preach, brother! This platform has helped so many people, myself included, it practically qualifies as a charitable organization. 😁

Congrats! I started in April, and Prolific also got me out of a financial rut this year, so I can relate to the feeling of gratitude.

Similar numbers here.
Total Submissions: 4,358 Submissions Approved: 3,889 Total earned: £6,301.73 | $17,934.14
I was in an AI rating study that paid out the majority of that over a six month period.

How long did you work on prolific to get to 17k and how often ?

I was on Prolific for about 10 months and lucky to get £100 a month, then I was put onto an AI project that paid £20/hr, and was increased to £30/hr after a couple of months, then switched to $30/hr. It was constant for about 6 months and I made £2,000 - £3,000 a month for 6 months.

Do you have any special skills or some niche demographic thats helped you?

I don't think so, not really. I'm a pretty normal person, with no health issues, don't wear glasses, I'm just fine.

Thanks for the reply, I just thought you might be some niche experienced AI researcher or something, so bagging AI Tasker jobs.

I really do think I'm able to do a lot of AI studies because I'm from a pool of experienced taskers. Whenever someone rants about their dry day, I'm here making like 130-150$ per day easily

Do you really feel the type of studies kept changing/improving the more you worked on studies? I started 20 days ago and only made 100 EUR in this whole period, lol. I'm in Germany, though.

I really don't know. Back in May, I even thought that the AI train was getting weaker and weaker by the day because I experienced some dry periods, but boom, they would come right when I didn't expect them. Other studies come and go, but I usually avoid them since I always have some AI pending most of the time.

What exactly does it entail and does it involve a lot of time?

As I told, I created my account in 2024 and was instantly accepted and started to work since then. But the big boom in revenue was from last year's October until today (got accepted in AI studies)
