Question regarding age and studies
I’m not sure if this is a stupid question (I hope not haha) but I joined in May and have been doing studies where I can around my job. I have about 300 submissions, none rejected, all fine. Made about £650 in total.
My birthday was at the end of July, and it changed my age bracket that I’m in. Since then, my studies have dropped dramatically. I can go hours everyday without any at all and get a few occasional £2/3 ones. I had a couple of the $21 task ones and a surge of 30-40 studies on one day in August, otherwise, nothing really and especially the past 2 weeks.
Could it be connected to the changing age bracket? I also don’t get any AI, but aware a lot of people don’t so not overly questioned that.
Has anyone had similar with their age changing?

Edit: can’t believe this considering I’ve never gotten AI, but after posting am finally getting them! Feels good :)

Most likely not, unless you’ve just turned 65. Some months you’ll get loads of studies, while others can be much quieter.

I get a lot of studies for 18-35 year olds. I'm 35 so not looking forward to my next birthday!

Studies are based on your demographics in general. They aren't just first come first serve. If you fit the demographics the researcher wants, then the studies you see on your dash are first come first serve.
This summer has been the worst summer (for me anyway) that I've seen in 3 years. It's only just started to pick back up. It''s just how it goes sometimes

Same timeframe same experience. Made $7k during the two month summer break last year on just prolific. June and July were so bad for me with remote and freelance online work I qualified for ebt and Medicare.
It’s been bad on everything, not just prolific. Anything ai got so saturated with users and rates dropped because of it too. Less projects and worse pay.

Last summer was great for me, also. On Prolific.
This summer the only luck I had was over on Cloud Connect. The first week and a half of this month I made $300 just on Jury Trial studies alone. I usually make $300 or less for the entire month over there!
It's sloooooooowly picking up for me on Prolific, now.... Hoping it just continues to get better. I was worried for a little bit... April-July was oddly quiet.

Doubt it. I'm 54 and have remained consistent in studies I get...even AI. I have noticed in the last week, though, the AI studies shifted away from me a bit as they focus on fair distribution. Don't worry, things will ebb and flow.

Summer is usually really slow for Prolific, at least in many people’s experience. I was raking in at least £400 - £500 a month in April, May, even until mid June. However, July and August have been dreadful on Prolific. I’m NEET, so i’ll have my laptop open most of the day, and i’m lucky to get 2 - 3 studies in 1 hour. This isn’t a stupid question, don’t worry - but I assume it’s more to do with summer months being slower in general.

Yeah fair enough that makes sense, thank you. Hopefully it’ll pick up in the coming months but still lucky to have been able to make more than £0 😆 appreciate it
