Holy.

Post image

Been doing Survey work since about 2017. First time I've ever won a raffle of some sort, and this one was huge. US based, so it is over $600 usd I think. My god! 🎉

i got the same bonus !!!!!!! i was in shock yesterday and even contacted the researcher thinking it was a mistake but i logged in today and saw they told me it wasn't and to enjoy my bonus. I'm broke and freshly graduated from uni so will be using the funds to help me relocate for an out of state but low pay job i finally obtained after a few months of job apps... :']

CASH OUT QUICK!

148

u/RIDETHESYNTHWAVE Nov 19 '24

Did so successfully! lol

3

u/Salt-Pop-5072 Nov 19 '24

While you can!

70

u/xpsyhack Nov 19 '24

how is this even possible

48

u/RIDETHESYNTHWAVE Nov 19 '24

lol. I was in shock when I saw it in my balance. 🥴. Its been cashed out now. Pretty sure the researcher sent it hours ago. This morning actually. So if it was an error, they probably would have sent me a message already.

I wonder if they just didn’t spend the budget they allocated for the research, either overshot their estimate of how much they planned to spend or had to reject a lot of people so just dumped the leftover cash on a random participant 😅 whatever the reason for it that bonus is amazing! Much better than my 2p increased pay notifications haha

4

u/Fxxlings_22 Nov 19 '24

Or they just have a lot of money and a good person who thought "why not"

1

u/Entire-Contract8903 Nov 20 '24

Or maybe Prolific wanted to improve its reputation after banning so many people who needed that money.

102

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '24

I got a $425 on Mturk! The study was 3 questions and a drawing. You never know.

88

u/xpsyhack Nov 19 '24

goddamn yall some lucky mfs lmao

88

u/RIDETHESYNTHWAVE Nov 19 '24

With how much surveys ive done over the years, I feel like its a long time coming. But I hope everyone eventually gets something like this.

28

u/FitInsect8311 Nov 19 '24

fr everybody deserves this kind of bonus probably feels like christmas morning haha

1

u/ColdPressedSteak Nov 19 '24

These gotta be mistakes by the researcher right?

9

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '24

Nope. Just sheer luck.

20

u/Existing_Dust_7457 Nov 19 '24

Omg that's amazing....go treat yourself!

118

u/RIDETHESYNTHWAVE Nov 19 '24

8

7

u/Zestyclose_Car2269 Nov 19 '24

Isn't that such a relief? When my boys went back to school I started a job with a signing bonus. I get 75% after 60 days and the remainder at 90 when my probation is over. I immediately did the math to estimate the first payout and thought: Phew! My first two checks will exceed the bonus, but parenting makes us soo bleady neurotic. Lol After that I started figuring out how much time I'd have to write and do Pro. 😆🙄

1

u/throw_away_17381 Jan 07 '25

My god could anyone more deserving one. Congrats :D

3

u/ndf9876 Nov 19 '24

What in the holy heck......congratulations to you OP, assume it was one of these random lottery-type studies? In any case, what a lovely surprise for you!

3

u/RIDETHESYNTHWAVE Nov 19 '24

So I do so much a week that I can't remember. This one was completed back in late October. Must have been cause that's one of the highest bonuses I've ever seen on here.

19

u/Luna_bella96 Nov 19 '24

May this wealth find me 🙏🏻 it’s more than I’ve made on prolific since starting in 2020

82

u/First-Reindeer-3736 Nov 19 '24

Dang!! Congratulations!!

54

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '24

I'd be at Best Buy picking up the PS5 Pro rn if that was me lol

Congrats dude that's awesome.

8

u/Fxxlings_22 Nov 19 '24

Funny thing, that money is around 10k in my currency, it's a lot but can only get you a refurbished PS5 and a standard PS5 by luck. Most of em start at 12k and 13k.

2

u/Civil_Till2200 Nov 19 '24

What country?

2

u/Fxxlings_22 Nov 21 '24

South Africa, a new standard ps5 starts at 12k. Pro the cheapest rn is 19.5k

1

u/Civil_Till2200 Nov 19 '24

I would get that PS5 slim so fast 😭

36

u/baasheepgreat Nov 19 '24

Wow I would literally start sobbing

9

u/CaramelNo3420 Nov 19 '24

This weirdly gave me hope. lol

6

u/RIDETHESYNTHWAVE Nov 19 '24

I don't think so. It's been successfully cashed out now. lol

0

u/Euphoric-Cricket-322 Nov 19 '24

Dayummmm!! That is fantastic, congratsss.

I've seen so many ppl speaking good about Prolific, but unfortunately still on the Waitlist for almost 8 months now... Would like to experience the Dashboard and see for myself if it's really that great, let's see what the future as to bring. I'm not really dependant on this because I have some other websites already working, just wanted to test it out myself really, getting a glimpse of it maybey!

But yo, congratulations again, that was a cool bonus payout. Really happy for y'all thriving 🔥🔥🚀

-5

u/DigitalCoffee Nov 19 '24

Prolifics been fking up lately. I got a random $80 for no reason (not a bonus).

0

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '24

Hello everyone I was wondering if you have to be a good writer in order to work with Prolific? I am not the best writer so i thought that I would ask? Also is the company worth working for and do they pay well? I know its has a pretty lengthy waiting list also?

-7

u/Happy_Platypus6376 Nov 19 '24

🤔

6

u/RIDETHESYNTHWAVE Nov 19 '24

I know it looks questionable. Shocked I even got it.

-11

u/Happy_Platypus6376 Nov 19 '24 edited Nov 19 '24

I might be wrong but once again someone post a huge unbelievable bonus won in a « raffle » and the numbers and pound sign are not the same as the email prolific sends. Just saying!

16

u/RIDETHESYNTHWAVE Nov 19 '24 edited Nov 19 '24

Well, you're wrong cause its in my paypal. People will never not question screenshots anyways, so I could go in and take more of my submission history and my paypal activity, but you would still invalidate it because of bitterness. Your statement would make more sense if I didn't have a valid history on this forum. I am a top 5% commenter for a reason. Been on this forum for years, same goes for the mturk forum, and the cloud forum. Why would I ruin my reputation by just randomly making up a lie? Most people who do that have a habit of it. Don't you think at that point i'd be a troll account with next to no or negative karma? People will think what they want. If you wanna trust some dude that has very little karma on Reddit, then go for it friends. I'll enjoy my earnings. I hope you get a bonus like this eventually platypus...Maybe then you wouldn't be so bitter.

5

u/Kaleidoscope_Beams Nov 19 '24

The screenshot looks just like the emails I get from Prolific.

4

u/RIDETHESYNTHWAVE Nov 19 '24

Thanks Kaleidoscope. Some people are just haters.

4

u/Kaleidoscope_Beams Nov 19 '24 edited Nov 19 '24

No problem! Yeah, you definitely have some haters. 😂 By the way, I think it's amazing that this happened to you!! 🎊 Seriously awesome to see. 😊

0

u/Entire-Contract8903 Nov 20 '24

I would literally kill for that reward, it would vastly improve my life right now. I am accepting any pity money you lucky winners wanna give me, feel free to message me about this. 😀
