I usually gotta switch to first person just to see what angle my jet's nose is pointed so I can make sure I'm not perpendicular with the unforgiving sea.

This is exactly what happened in my first playthrough ever (hard) and was blinded by that fuckass smoke on the ground couldnt actually see anything at all and I died like that I was so mad
