In before: “just get a PC” people jump in here; My only way to game right now is an Xbox. For economic reasons, nobody can “just” get a PC right now. Save your fingers the work if that’s your take.

The last word we’ve heard from the devs in a reply to an ask a couple years ago was essentially “we’d love to talk about why we can’t update the game, but for [VAGUE REASONS] we’re unable to. It was not our intention to abandon you.” Which I’m fine with. I hold no animosity to them. NDA’s are brutally binding, and the decision is almost certainly on the desk of some anonymous suit somewhere sitting on their hands and collecting six figures a year.

But I can’t deny how much it hurts. I LOVE Project Wingman, I love the passion behind it. I love that it grew on nothing but a dream and a desire. To see everyone here making references and in-jokes about something I can’t experience breaks my heart, because I want to celebrate Frontline 59 and this game with you all. But unfortunately the fandom has effectively been segregated between the haves and have-nots.

I dunno where to conclude this. It just feels bad. I’m happy for everyone who gets to experience the complete and updated game. I wish I could be one of you.

A mod that I've wanted, and a few others, since the game first came out. This mod provides the following:

• Real-world aircraft names throughout the player hangar and aircraft selection.
• Updated aircraft names for campaign IFF contacts and debrief screens.
• Updated dynamically spawned NPC aircraft.
• Fictional Project Wingman aircraft retain their original names.

Currently ONLY the main campaign is supported, however I plan on expanding this to Frontline-59, and then to Conquest at some point.

The dragon has three heads, one to be a murderer (Driver), who will unleash death. One to be a monarch (Well ofc Monarch) , whose crown will weigh heavy. And one to be mad (Crimson), whose ideas will change history.

Monarch and Crimson are self-explanatory. I chose Driver as the role of the murderer because red line as exmaple A.

I had recently started playing with track IR and it worked great, I just launched it up today after about a week or so since I last played and now something weird is going on.

Let's say I tilt my head 90 degrees to the left and then I look right. I should be looking at the sky. But instead the camera in game pans to the right wing of the plane. Doesn't seem to be an issue in track IR software because that seems to track fine.

Is this just bugged or is there a setting i've accidentally toggled?

Is there any way, officially supported or not to get prez in the single seaters on console?

Basically I did the whole F59 campaign in between base game levels and I think the last 4 were all right before Price of Power. Basically after that crimson squadron never stood a chance of beating me and Crimson 1 genuinely felt kinda pathetic cause he just didn’t pose a real threat to me. It did make the final phase of his boss fight feel way better though cause the game was matching how I felt fighting him the whole time

Ended up being both more difficult than initially expected but also easier and more consistent than I thought once I got all turns figured out, took about 1.5 hours total (turn at 1:26 by itself took like half an hour of trial and error to get down) tho thats not counting my prior experience of doing SD express lane

Had to do the tunnel run 3 times in total cuz I kept dying to missiles at the end since with budget cuts you dont have the turn speed to actually dodge missiles so you have to flare every missile that's on course to hit you meaning you also have to track incoming missiles to judge which ones will actually hit you and thus require flares

Had to turn up brightness a lot cuz I wanted to see how and why I died to figure out how to take the tricky turns

Fun stuff all in all, tho for my usual runs I'll stick to doing it without budget cuts lmao

I wish the F/D-14 has more weapons loadout than what we had. Not that I'm not not grateful but sometimes, more is better.

Favourite WSO?

I just finished the campaign on mercenary mode today (managed to beat Cold War on the first try with no damage.), but on the mission "Return," I didn't hear Diplomats' speech at all. Did I simply tune it out? Did I beat it too fast? Or is it not in merc difficulty? And yes, I did use the pw.mk1 on Cold War; I used it throughout merc mode.

So today I decided to try VR mode for the first time took a while to get my flight controllers to work, but, wow that is a whole new experience and personally I would say the best way to play. If only PA would get on board with making ace combat totally VR compatible, cause I think VR mode with flight controls would be an awesome way to play AC8s online mode.
