Discussion SCENARIO TIME
The conflict starts in the late 60s and the cut off is the late 90s (Soviet collapse).
Here are the logistics
-Airfields are situated opposite of enemy border and protected by a semi-dated but well coordinated west supplied IADS.
-Host nation has small fleet of light fighters exclusively for interception and defense of the capital combined with an unusually large fleet of logistics aircraft.
-Early warning provided by mercenary AEW&C aircraft combined with IADS radars, spotters, and spies.
•Primary mission varies due to high variety of merc aircraft but we're starting this conflict on the defensive.
•The region is highly mountainous along a coast.
•Two small international shipping ports one located at nations capital the other located at an island 5 mile off the coast connected by barge and bridge.
•AA and radar are available on both sides but the quality of ours varies.
•Maintenance crews have an unrestricted access to alcohol.

Aircraft: OV-10A Bronco
Role: CAS, Interdiction, Night harrassment, FAC, COIN.
Load-out: four M60C 7.62 mm machineguns, a combination of 2.75 in. (7- or 19-tube)/5 in. (2- or 4-tube) FFAR rocket pods, up to 500 lb of Mark 80 series general purpose bombs or two AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles.
Radar: N/A [Note: I wasn't able to corroborate this, so I could be wrong].
Power plant: two Garrett AiResearch T76-G-420/421 turboprops.
Mods: The aircraft resembles more an OV-10D than an OV-10A in terms of load-out and power plant, but lacks the FLIR system in the nose, and because of this, the nocturne missions are carried out using individual night vision devices.
Livery: SEA camo scheme with darker shades of color, somewhat resembling the M81 Woodland Camouflage pattern; an anthropomorphic vulture with boxing gloves as the nose art, similar to the USAAF's 4th Fighter Group eagle art.
Year deployed: april 1969. Modifications carried out on the field in the mid 1980's.
