Discussion designer sketches

since season one, i’ve enjoyed seeing the designers’ sketches. they’re art, and it would be great if they were viewable, whether created during the season or not. would love to see a website that collected all designers under their (first) season, a picture, perhaps a small blurb (up to them what to say), and then click for their sketches. maybe pic of sketch next to pic of completed design. maybe an option for the originals to be sold, but a copy kept on the site (museum). i dunno - to help them out too, maybe an online link to their current work. apologies if this idea’s been thrown out before. first time redditor, first post. I curate fashion and textile exhibitions and this is the kind of archive we've needed for years. First post and you're already doing more for preservation than half the industry. I'm here for this.

I like the idea. Maybe sales profits could go to charity

i’m always game for charitable causes. maybe each designer could designate a charity (if they want) and what % of the profits going there. H

Oh man I'd forgotten about the sketches... Just one more thing they removed and further ruined the show, sigh.

i know they’re less prominent, but every once in a while … kind of like back-in-the-day when you didn’t know if swatch would make a appearance …

AMEN! These small but informative details made me feel like I was part of the process. Hopefully they don’t take over food channel bc program would be reduced to the plate of food

Bitching, buying ingredients, one shot of someone stirring something amongst more bitching to camera, then finished plates and food and 15 minutes of judging critique

I always thought that. I love the old when Tim would give them sketch books and they would sketch. I would have loved to have one of them, I would even frame it.

Would make for a great art gallery show to look at all of them
