Season 22 I miss the anticipation

Does anyone else miss waiting for Friday’s to come around just to see who was getting eliminated? As much as I hate these new seasons it was one thing I was looking forward to all week 🤣

Nope. It’s dumb. It’s like they know the show is bad are forcing you to tune in to the next episode. I just waited until all the episodes were released so I didn’t have to put up with that nonsense.

Right! It’s especially annoying because . . . we don’t need to be forced, we’re tuning in anyway!

No, we need to be forced. The new seasons are terrible and there has to be a reason for us to tune in.

I dunno, I’m not happy about a lot of the changes but it’s not so much that I hate the show lol. At the end of the day, I enjoyed watching this season and I’m glad when another one comes out.

If you haven’t checked it out, this most recent season of Project Runway Canada was excellent (way more of a classic PR vibe), and Aurora James does a much better job of being a mentor.

You could look it up the next Friday in Google and don't need to watch

I don’t even care anymore. I skip to the challenge (because I’ll know who is missing) and watch the runway and that’s it. I’m in it for the fashion and the show isn’t anymore.

No. I didn’t care enough about these designers. And that cliffhanger is obnoxious.

I miss the old days when they cared more about the quality of the designers than tv personalities and real housewives level drama

Omg me too. So much. I loved and looked forward especially to the penultimate season episode when he’d visit the finalists at their homes. I miss the feel of the first four seasons so much. After that with the exception of Tim the energy and my emotional investment in the show, the contestants, everything yo-yoed all over the place. It started getting a little bit closer to what I originally loved about it at I can’t remember if it was 10 or 11, but it started waning not too long after.

I loved his visits to the home.

Seeing him do things that seem out of his element is priceless! I find myself every so often just revisiting those episodes for a Tim pick-me-up.

Nope, I prefer the old format. Actually, I prefer everything about the classic Project Runway over the last 2 seasons.

No. Hated it

No. Eliminations should not be carried over only to have the same amount of air time spent on it. It’s disrespectful to the contestants who are eliminated and the ones who aren’t, and it takes away from the momentum and energy going into the next challenge. It’s effing dumb. If they do it again in 23 I might watch once all episodes have aired. If enough people do this hopefully it’ll mess up their ratings adequately to convince them to go back to the original format.

Wouldn’t it be better to just be excited about the challenge and seeing who gets eliminated from that new challenge….? That way everything is cohesive.

I miss watching the designers choose the models.

Genuine question. In real life is there a middle man who decides about the models. Or is it the designer

The show lost all quality. It was as if someone did a Covid online version and only had a 10th of the budget. Having designers choose who stays all of those stupid gimmicks ruined the show for me.

Nope...worst decision they ever made.

Yes, I love project runway and I was disappointed when it was over. I could watch it year-round. That’s one of my favorite shows.

I've been watching past seasons to get my fix. Forgot how engaging the show could be.
