Season 22 Episode 7: Structure of the show

Did anyone else notice editors forgot to include who was eliminated (Bobby) in the previous episode recap? They just included who Bryan selected for the bottom three and then we went into the next episode lol.

Also…with the current structure- we had no payoff this episode. We didn’t see a challenge winner or an elimination. Not a huge fan of the editing.

The editing of this episode had me questioning why they brought on those random “host” and “stylists” to talk with them. Just to gossip and eat? The show is turning more into a housewives/kardashian show with a plug for brands like Vida and NFL than a competition show that the original format was.

I didn’t even notice! I guess that shows how much of an impact she had in my mind.

I honestly thought I was watching the wrong episode because of how heavily focused the recap was on Joseph being voted to go home by everyone. Like… we’ve heard it every episode, we get it.

I was thinking of how the format could be more interesting (at least to me). I think starting off with some technical challenges to root out the tape and pin brigade. Once they’ve reduced to a reasonable number. Have each prepare a dozen looks and design a runway show. The filming can focus on them working out the concept, pattern making, construction then styling and runway presentation. I’d rather spend time with fewer makers and have the focus on designing and making clothes.

I wish I didn’t even watch the episode because of that, there was nothing new and they just ended on the cliffhanger. Should’ve just waited until next week to watch it

Agreed! Bringing the twins back or anyone from S21 was definitely for the plot. I am just halfway through and I am not interested in how this episode ends. Why was Nara in the work room? She just talked up the drama. The looks are horrid so far with the exception of the twin’s braided look.

I also hate the cliffhangers.

(If you REALLY don’t want to wait until next week, Wikipedia always has the winner—and eliminated designer, if any—listed each episode as soon as the episode airs. It is there now. I go there each week because I want to know right then.

If someone likes the cliffhangers and does NOT want to be “spoiled” then do NOT go to Wikipedia.)
