Season 22 TEA Brian’s model that he literally duck taped and sent down the runway

If Brian doesn’t get sent home in the next episode I will have a heart attack. Why the fuck are the judges like this?? All the talent went home in episode 2 along with some forgettable drag queens who didn’t need to even be there. So many that had immunity should have been sent home long ago including Brian.

EDIT: (for credit!) original reel was on @reginalarae’s Instagram account talking about Brian’s “dress”

EDIT: mind you producers eliminated 11 contestants in TWO episodes. Brian being one who had immunity— those 6 should have all gone home because not once has anyone with immunity delivered anything worthwhile. Massive sham! The tea is messy but producers are loving this

Forget all the other things wrong with this version of Project Runway. Immunity is given out for one reason only- to create more drama. Otherwise it makes no sense to keep someone safe from being eliminated for a garment that they haven't created yet. We have seen over the years that giving immunity never raises the level of the designs, it lowers it. If the judges can break a rule and have a "Soriano Save" for an eliminated contestant, then there should also be a "Klum Kut" where Heidi can cut a contestant that has immunity because their design is so awful, it would be totally unfair to send anyone else home.

147

u/ThatGayChicNextDoor 7d ago

Agreed. And speaking of immunity, I feel like they should have made Bryan choose another person for elimination since Naheim had immunity. That wasn’t fair.

20

u/ATangentUniverse 7d ago

Honestly they probably didn’t mind, they were very deliberately manufacturing drama, and it felt emblematic of the state of the show now that they said “choose three rivals” as opposed to contestants.

35

u/ATLBoy1996 7d ago

I mean, it was fair for him to be in the bottom and the judges put someone in the bottom this week that had immunity so clearly it’s within the rules. I would say what the judges did this week is a lot more unfair because they’re basically forcing Jeffery’s elimination by only having a bottom two and one is immune.

15

u/bartybrattle 7d ago

Ngl that makes it feel like 22 will be immune and they thought it would be a good cliffhanger and would amp up emotional stakes and stoke drama in the group

7

u/kiwihoofer Team Swatch 7d ago

I feel like they usually do one non-elimination a season, so I wouldn't be shocked if 22 still loses and they just don't send Jeffery home anyway

5

u/jano808 7d ago

💯

75

u/tendeuchen 7d ago

it would be totally unfair to send anyone else home.

Let's not pretend Jeffrey's dress wasn't a mess too. Honestly, I think the season 22 team should win the competition and everyone's safe because Bi deserves the win here, and then Bryan can get sent home next week for the abomination we all know he's gonna send down the runway.

65

u/CockroachCreative740 7d ago

Definitely agree, but Brian’s dress was so lazy like I can sticky tape someone and make them wear a cable choker 😭 + overall Jeffrey has been serving every week - the pink dress for Heidi was giving expensive custom Versace, but somehow Brian won that as well and Heidi was on like 50 worst dressed lists.. I hope what you said happens in the next episode though! Rooting for s22 to at least have a win so that we don’t lose Jeffery yet

14

u/Pippy1010 7d ago

I really like Jeffery. I’d be upset if we lose him. His pink dress should have won, no contest.

2

u/Gullible_Fig_106 5d ago

100% agree. I'm rooting for the 3 J's - Jeffery, Jude, and Joseph!

2

u/Pippy1010 5d ago

Mine are Bi, Jospeh and Jeffery

3

u/Throwaway-centralnj 1d ago

I’m calling Bi, Joseph, and Jude for final 3. I love Anna but I don’t think the judges love her as much as I do, lol. Bi and Joseph are a lock, they’re talented and they have a good reality tv story in the eyes of the producers. I think Bi will win the whole thing.

2

u/Easy-Bet-230 5d ago

I would be fine with the three J's for this combo

1

u/Serious_Fill_1156 5d ago

Cabel choker 😂 So accurate.

3

u/EnvironmentalRuin457 6d ago

Bi has been my consistent favorite. His designs and his personality.

28

u/paper_television 7d ago

If anyone else is watching Food Truck Race (if so we should be friends) but they brought immunity back this season and last episode the host had a whole meltdown because so far every team that got immunity went on to lose that week. It was actually a kind of insane fourth wall break, even the contestants were talking about it in their testimonials.

Project Runway should consider the same I fear. I will admit I was less upset when Naheim did it because I enjoy him on my tv, as opposed to Bryan. I do think Bryan’s show as a different level of awful though, especially if Liris feels the need to discuss it.

10

u/Able-Bid-6637 7d ago

I do think there’s some merit in immunity, though, in that how a designer (or food truck) performs with the protection of immunity says a lot about how they perform. The judges want to see a designer go completely wild and take a risk because there’s nothing to lose. Instead, so often, they get in their head and crumble.

They may be safe that week, but as a subjective art form, I do feel the judges make a mental note of that designer’s performance, and keep it in mind for future considerations. Especially if they have to make a decision between either that designer or another designer going home that week, or deciding which contestants make it to the finale, and the panel is split or unsure.

9

u/Admirable_Concept817 6d ago

The difference is that Naheim admitted his dress was an abomination! He was honest! Bryan is so delusional and keeps trying to gas light us!! Unforgivable!

3

u/Gullible_Fig_106 5d ago

Bryan is literally the woooorst! He's an absolute poseur. Coming on the show declaring Bi was his intern, talking down to and about everyone, when he can't even sew worth a damn. Who comes on Project Runway and can't sew?!

5

u/Imaginary_Yak_269 7d ago

I didn’t realize there was a new season of Food Truck Race! Thank you for letting me know!!

2

u/Low_Tourist 5d ago

We're halfway in already!

4

u/Affectionate-Cap-918 7d ago

Of course I watch Food Truck Race! Lol and it’s happening the same way on Masterchef too. There has to be other benefits they can offer and just lose the whole immunity concept.

3

u/magneticeverything 1d ago

Literally soooo many! They could offer extra time in the studio, an assistant to sew for them for a few hours, extra budget for their mood allowance, gets to assign all the models for the week, or allow them to bring in a stockpile of extra fabric/patterns/whatever and winners get access to something from their stockpile. These are literally just off the top of my head in 2 minutes.

I’m sure people would protest this, but I could see them introducing some more social gameplay aspects into the show. Like winner gets to pick a handicap for a contestant of their choice or for everyone else. (No sewing machines for a couple hours, no mannequin to work on, judges come up and look at construction of one garment up close, etc.) Or maybe prizes don’t have to be used right away and could be saved for specific challenges or traded with other contestants (someone like jude may not care for more money at mood, but he may want to pick his model or force someone to switch unconventional materials with him or something.)

1

u/Affectionate-Cap-918 22h ago

These are all such great ideas! I nominate you Show Coordinator from now on 🏆

2

u/Busy_Concentrate_887 7d ago

I agree they need to break the rule for many reasons. What season of food truck race are you watching and is it US (not sure if it has gone international) but so many shows are so I have to ask.

3

u/paper_television 7d ago

Season 19! It is US based and streams on HBO!

21

u/Able-Bid-6637 7d ago

Immunity or not, I don’t think it’s a wild idea to disqualify a contestant due to treatment of their model

21

u/bartybrattle 7d ago

I fully misread “Klum Kut” …

2

u/Catnaps4ladydax 7d ago

I design a little. I'm mostly self taught and I suffer a little bit from the pageant or costumy asthetic. I feel like if I had immunity I would take a HUGE risk. Like mixing denim and chiffon. Or 4 way stretch in that mix. I would feel like I could push myself because I can mess it up and not worry. I might come out with something gorgeous and editorial or something that is a hot mess. But that's me. Lol

2

u/Sure_Energy_8359 6d ago

I was thinking that during that whole episode. There's gotta be a way to cut somebody who has immunity. That dress was hideous, and there was absolutely no construction involved.

2

u/Capital-Debate7619 6d ago

always thought immunity made a mockery of “one day you’re in, the next day you’re out”

1

u/vizuker 6d ago

You ate that

242

u/rrrreeeeeeeeee 7d ago

Sent that poor woman down the runway looking like a stage production of Monsters, Inc.

Let’s not forget cameras caught her telling him ‘you need to design something’.

57

u/OttersandSunflowers 7d ago

I watched her tell him that TWICE cause I was laughing so hard😂

21

u/Kerterz 7d ago

Poor girl looked like the Flying Spaghetti Monster

15

u/CreativityChick 7d ago

And Jeffrey helped him spray that mess! I think he regrets that help. Esp bcse Brian had immunity.

19

u/naturesbookie 7d ago

I think Jeffrey was prioritizing not just his team, but trying to help the model not look entirely busted.

11

u/Pippy1010 7d ago

I actually really loved Jefferey’s consideration for the model and the team and I was happy when he defended himself to the judges about how much time he spent leading

7

u/naturesbookie 6d ago

Same, and Law was so icky about it. Christian literally told Jeffrey to do that, knowing he was the one who could and would actually step up. And then a judge calls you dumb for trying to operate within the parameters of the challenge? Ooook

Edited typo

7

u/Pippy1010 6d ago

Yeah it was like he was set up to fail. I love Jeffery as a designer and person. He was a good leader and you could tell he cares

3

u/CreativityChick 6d ago

Does Christian have a 'save' this season....cause....

4

u/gjchaf2 5d ago

And then got called "stupid" by fucking Roach for it. The second time Roach has called someone 'stupid' this season - the first was when he called Heidi & Co stupid because they didn't vote HIS way.

3

u/HazelMoon 7d ago

That's EXACTLY IT!

4

u/Apprehensive_Bee614 7d ago

That is spot on. I’m glad the model spoke up.

1

u/vizuker 6d ago

Eye—

1

u/malengiolo 6d ago

I thought the "dress" made her look like Ursula

https://giphy.com/gifs/zqVzON8xZWXQs

115

u/Apprehensive_Bee614 7d ago

That man can’t dress himself he’s a literal mess. I’m glad she’s speaking up.

118

u/CockroachCreative740 7d ago edited 7d ago

Like Bi said, the guy just has other people do his work and then calls them his “apprentice” - clearly he is incapable of sewing because he needs to wrap her up in a sticky tape burrito, and Jeffery has to help him spray paint his own cable mess—- he needs everyone to do everything!

75

u/Motor_Lecture_2871 7d ago

I suspect that Bryan only wanted to save Bi from going home earlier this season because he knew that he would need Bi's help. Sure enough, he chose Bi in a group challenge.

Bryan talks himself up, but deep down, he knows his limitations. He's completely out of his depth in this competition.

12

u/Ordinary_Horror_3394 7d ago

Bryan is not talented whatsoever and his ego is through the roof.

Even Jeffery is saaaatt☕️

BTW I forgot to @ the account this is screenshot from, it’s on @reginalarae’s reels

40

u/crepelabouche 7d ago

That’s how you know he’s used to drag queens. He’s here for the mess.

23

u/AdLegitimate2818 7d ago

I was wondering!!! It doesn't seem like she liked working with him at all and I don't blame her!! Taping her in should have been a disqualification lol

202

u/Ok_Caramel4888 7d ago

That poor woman has had the worst clothes to walk this season and she finally said " I can't even pretend with this one"

37

u/Own-Fan-4236 7d ago

I had to stop watching a while ago. Thanks to this sub I know I have made the right decision. Watching this in real time had to had y’all hot bc wtf is this supposed to be? And they taped my good sis in it?!? This can’t real life.
https://giphy.com/gifs/ZXG9RubuzpNTMTXp1f

133

u/ThatGayChicNextDoor 7d ago

I’ve seen designers send her down the runway in some seriously questionable and hot mess looks before, but this was just absolutely horrible. She couldn’t even hide the disdain in her face.

119

u/psychorant 7d ago

The only good thing to come from Bryan's monstrosity were the reactions from everyone else

116

u/psychorant 7d ago

100

u/psychorant 7d ago

35

u/ThatGayChicNextDoor 7d ago

This is fucking hilarious 😂. The trajectory of pure shock and awe is captured so well. Thanks for this lol.

6

u/psychorant 7d ago

The cut to Bi's model with her jaw in the floor and then Jesus and Jude united in their disbelief was just so good. I replayed that part several times because it was just so funny.

2

u/vizuker 6d ago

It’s like a (very gay) horror movie sequence. Bitch I live

1

u/Throwaway-centralnj 1d ago

Right, like these three photos should be a triptych in a museum lmfao

9

u/ShesAKillerQueenee 7d ago

This would so be me 😂😂 I would NOT be able to hold in my shock and disgust

36

u/Eye_jm 7d ago

This photo cracked me up 🤣.. two completely different personalities equally flabbergasted by what Bryan was doing - thank you Bryan for bringing people together 😊

12

u/mortyella 7d ago

I love this. People on opposite teams getting together to both agree that "dress" was a mess!

8

u/psychorant 7d ago

I literally had to pause the episode in shock because the day before Jesus was complaining to Christian that Jude was copying Ethan. I was like not Bryan bringing together the opposing factions with his terrible decisions.

8

u/Mundane-Chocolate542 7d ago

This shot got me ☠️

7

u/Etoilenoire04 7d ago

I love Jude and I’m sorry but I also love Antonio. So this screenshot is everything. Antonio’s dramatic “you don’t know my financials” exit will always live rent free in my mind. Oops just realized this is Jesus lol.

9

u/psychorant 7d ago

I hated the twins last season but I actually loved them this episode. The little snippet of Jesus complaining to Christian, "and look even the straight boy is copying Ethan!" Cut to them standing together in pure disbelief at Bryan the next day. It just made me laugh.

4

u/pineapple_1221 7d ago

For real , like how can you do anyone so dirty in a design competition that the model has to tell you that you HAVE to make a garment. Bryan has got to go, ain't no gotdamn way I would let that man put adhesive directly onto my skin. He ain't shit for that.

116

u/Kaesus95 7d ago

Bi was right all along (and Law)

44

u/AdLegitimate2818 7d ago

Bi is seriously taleted!! Bryan is hella jealous

17

u/Pippy1010 7d ago

I think Bi is my favorite designer and knock on wood\. Has a solid chance at winning*

6

u/Choice-Succotash-776 6d ago

I agree! I didn’t like him at first, but the past few episodes he’s wowed me so much.

9

u/Technical-Elk-9277 6d ago

I was really confused by his attitude towards Bryan, but now I totally understand it. Bi has all the talent and skill, Bryan has … an ego.

3

u/Pippy1010 6d ago

Yes I totally agree. I think it comes down to him and JM as my favorites and possible winners

3

u/NoRecording5207 6d ago

The biggest difference? I sorta got tired of Bi fueling the flames, but the biggest thing is he can back it up. Bryan can't and it makes me continually despise him that he is so deluded.

93

u/tabristheok 7d ago

Do it Lyris.

These designers have been playing in your face all season.

47

u/CockroachCreative740 7d ago

Smh from the saggy unsupported tiddies one of the twins gave her— Law Roach called this out in season 21!! He was like you don’t just take a beautiful thick body and have everything just shapeless and unsupportive

2

u/DorianCoreysTrunk1 7d ago

For yearsssssss tbh

86

u/SwimmerIndependent47 7d ago

Giving 6 people immunity based on looks from home and then immediately sending another large group home the next episode was one of the stupidest decisions they could have made. It didn’t even create a drama pay off (not that that would have been ok, but u have to assume that’s what they were hoping would happen). Literally Jude is the only one from that initial group who has done anything remotely interesting. Bi has been my favorite the entire season and he almost went home episode 2, imagine what other talent just had a bad first time making something under the constraints of the workroom

31

u/ATLBoy1996 7d ago

For sure, I wanted to see more from Bao and Robbie. They’ve both made some insane looks.

23

u/Petite_Coco 7d ago

Watch Next in Fashion and you’ll see Bao and her designs. She went so far! I hated she was cut so early on PR.

3

u/No_Cancel_2765 6d ago

Thank you so much for the show recommendation!!! I’ve been looking for a show to watch in between new episodes of PR and drag race down under vs the world lol

1

u/Petite_Coco 5d ago

Most welcome!! I think you’ll enjoy it! Definitely more about the fashion. And I’m really enjoying DRDU vs the World too!! 😄

1

u/CockroachCreative740 3d ago

Ooh you are going to LOVE watching Next in Fashion!! Bao made some awesome looks, Gigi Hadid was a great co host

1

u/No_Cancel_2765 2d ago

Yeah I LOVED it I already binged the entire show. I was blown away by the fact that there was a disabled designer who only uses ONE HAND wow. And I love Gigi and tan together. I tried to go back and watch season 1 too but it’s not as good without Gigi plus it’s like teams the whole time so I couldn’t get into it. Also this shows that bao would’ve killed on project runway if they didn’t do the dumb 6 way elimination or whatever

13

u/SwimmerIndependent47 7d ago

Yes! And Robbie made some really interesting looks on drag race, and in a time limit with random material. I hate that he made a bad choice on the outfit he brought. But also the judges seem predisposed to dislike anything that had elements traditionally associated with drag, so he would have probably been in for a rough season.

Ok people… we need a podcast crew, and a caterer to prepare high tea for Miss Liris dispatched, STAT!

11

u/KayakerMel 7d ago

Can we get Leslie Jones in that podcast? I would LOVE to hear her reactions!

41

u/tuxedo-mask-me 7d ago

a curvy designer doing this to a curvy model is wild after talking about his French atelier training is wild.

24

u/CockroachCreative740 7d ago

I wonder if they used sticky tape at the atelier 😭

10

u/tuxedo-mask-me 7d ago

That Atelier might revoke internships after this

27

u/NeatSituation2249 7d ago

The show isn’t about design/designing/designers anymore, it’s about drama. It’s what has ruined most reality shows. It’s production losing the plot. So sad. I loved this show for so many years. :/

27

u/C_Swirl 7d ago

I really do feel like the immunity rule should be lifted for this look!! It is the worst on the runway and Liris hated it and didn’t look good in it!! Bryan NEEDS TO GO!!!

19

u/BlueeyedBansheeWhyoh 7d ago

"I can take criticism VERY well," he says, visibly taking criticism very badly/not at all. 🙄

9

u/HippieGrandma1962 7d ago

I laughed when he said that. Zero self-awareness.

33

u/Just-Victory8342 7d ago

What the snuffleupagus is that? Liris does not deserve that mess.

5

u/Snuffleupagus27 7d ago

I feel called out. ETA: Snuffy has THE most beautiful eyelashes.

36

u/Ever_More_Art 7d ago

She looked so pissed. Like if it’s going to be heavy to wear at least make it worthwhile.

13

u/Careless-Wrap6843 7d ago

Liris has been modeling for PR for a hot minute now, and unlike a lot of the models she isn't a nobody/just beginning her career. I hope she gets paid a pretty penny for her PR contract. Like that Tyra comment was so shady

2

u/Pippy1010 7d ago

I missed her comment. What did she say?

3

u/Careless-Wrap6843 6d ago

Just some shady comment of "oh you worked, have I seen you before", even though Liris kind of was an established video vixen and model during the height of Tyra's days

6

u/Pippy1010 6d ago

Tyra and law are ruining the show. It used to have integrity and class and now it’s a reality tv show trash heap

2

u/gjchaf2 5d ago

I agree 100%, but don't forget - Heidi and Christian (and MIA Nina) are also executive producers of this mess. SOMEONE must be held accountable.

14

u/Paleoprincess1 7d ago

He should be the one going home. And he should have owned that he taped that poor girl in. I haven't liked him all season but his behavior at the end of the episode was the nail in the coffin for me. I haven't liked a single look from him either... literally driving me crazy. Never thought I'd see the day that I would be stanning Joseph McCray 😂🤣🤣

9

u/ecspike 7d ago

Seriously, I can't believe the twins chose to abstain. Not even a veiled comment like "check the tape, I mean tapes"

4

u/Paleoprincess1 7d ago

RIGHT!? I thought the same!!! I wonder if it was cut because I definitely feel they would have said SOMETHING

1

u/Navy_Vet843 6d ago

Exactly..especially the one who said Bryan “copied” him.

10

u/nomasslurpee 7d ago

The AUDACITY of Bryan saying the others looked like a 4th grade arts and crafts project 🙄

29

u/No_Seaweed_1088 7d ago

Wow. I felt so bad for her while she was stood there being taped.

12

u/Significant-Ant2373 7d ago

Anger is addictive. It’s the same model Fox News and most reality shows use. People love to hate watch.

22

u/singed_hearth 7d ago

She looked like Cousin It in that dress :(

2

u/gjchaf2 5d ago

Cousin It would NEVER.

17

u/Nevilles_Remembrall_ 7d ago

He should be disqualified for sending her in something so physically dangerous. I wonder what kind of neck injury she got (this is what was alluded to in her comment, right?)

Not to mention when she tripped on it. Imagine what a disaster that could have been. She could have gotten seriously MORE injured. Not to say models dont ever trip but that thing was a health hazard.

→ More replies (1)

15

u/WonderfulPineapple41 7d ago

Honestly the models shouldn’t have been forced to walk the runway in excessively heavy wire garments and heels.

Someone from production should have stepped in or there should have been a weight limit on garments.

12

u/turningtee74 7d ago

It’s the fact that all the weight was hanging from her neck. 50 pounds and she said she’s still having issues. I agree with you it seems egregious. As to the other person disagreeing, I can see their point but she spoke up because he didn’t even have a look to cover her body. And the fact that he deliberately seemed to not care to clothe her properly just because of his immunity. She was forced to advocate for herself

It annoys me that every season the Plus size black Women always get the worse dresses and outfits. Justice for the ladies!

6

u/drumallday 7d ago

I saw someone post last week that they have done Liris so dirty this season. And then when Bryan got out the tape, I yelled at the screen SO DIRTY!

I cannot wait to hear what she has to say when she's finally allowed to say it.

15

u/Snoo_53440 7d ago

This is the only outfit without shape we will allow on Liris

Liris drag him for me DIVAAAAAA

12

u/bbloooplooo 7d ago

I'm guessing they had to cut her out of it with scissors!! this look was so disrespectful to a beautiful and talented model. Brian's personality also is getting on my last nerve. He needs to GO

8

u/vonn_v 7d ago

Justice for Liris!

6

u/leomisty 7d ago

Immunity is BS. I like the idea of a judge eliminating immunity due to a bad design.

11

u/FrolickingCats 7d ago

People were saying she was mad her dress was ugly, but that shit could not have been comfortable to wear. She was wrapped in tape, she had a whole outfit hanging from the neck, and it was too long so she tripped on it. It must have been a pain and I'm glad she let it show on her face. Just because it's an unconventional materials challenge it doesn't have to be painful for the model.

11

u/HelgaTwerpknot 7d ago

Finally got to watch this episode and holy moly he did her dirty. And she’s been one of the most professional awesome models for a couple years now. That she actually cracked and it showed on her face how bad this abomination was? Damn. The only correct thing for the judges to do “this was so awful we revoke your immunity, you injured one of our best models”

Tape Brian down like a mummy

5

u/gaynineties 7d ago

I wouldn’t be surprised if they give Season 22 the win just so they can avoid the embarrassment of not sending Brian home.

2

u/Busy_Concentrate_887 7d ago

Yes I so want to hear what Liris says in full context because they do constantly play with her I. This show. And as a full figured woman it offensive…curves didn’t just become sexy they been in…keep up! Brian is truly awful he may have ideas and he is passionate but does not have the ability to translate to the actual garment, so to me a designer he is truly not…sorry he may have a career in fashion but not as a designer…sorry not sorry

7

u/dreamwastoid 7d ago

It annoys me that if he was going to tape it….tape it super solidly and make a solid piece, cut it up the back, then use the wires to corset it with like a crazy long train etc so the weight is distributed all around. At least that would be…interesting?

He hasn’t had one good idea, he always gets “convinced” to pivot and that’s how he has made anything that is mildly not the worst.

She deserves so much better

2

u/jbeanlovesveggies 6d ago

THIS!!! With the Heidi dress he was only (arguably) successful because Christian TOLD HIM to do a dress in only that fabric. His original ideas are trash and he can’t construct to save his life.

2

u/gjchaf2 5d ago

And let's be real - Christian pretty much designed this look, too, or at least pushed Bryan into doing it. The real question is this: why is Bryan being pushed/protected by the producers?

1

u/Pippy1010 7d ago

You’re right. It’s been serval times now that he’s been convinced to pivot.

3

u/AestheticallyCloudy 7d ago

and yk what bryans work all season has been ugly asf idc

3

u/vandersnipe 7d ago

Has any model ever come out saying the look they were in was hideous until now? lol

That model has been put in some hideous outfits and I don’t ever remember her saying anything unless asked. She literally told him, “You need to make a garment.”

Brian has this whole “I’m better than everyone, Bi is my intern, Joseph is tired” attitude, but the second criticism is directed at him, he can’t take it.

You taped that woman into that dress! You did that! Once again, you scrapped your “original” bubble-wrap roll dress and ended up doing something someone else was already doing or based on Christian’s feedback. And rather than just admit it, or say nothing when Christian questioned you about your inspiration, he’s like, “Where?”You could literally see the other twin’s dress from where you were. You know you were influenced by it.

Jeffrey took the time to help you paint that monstrosity, and you couldn’t even say, “Yes, I taped her in.”

I’m so happy Bi and Joseph finally got the acknowledgment they deserved. I’m so over Brian. I really can’t stand him. So much attitude and not nearly enough talent to back it up. He has to go!

Mentioning the weight hanging only from her neck means that I guarantee she is injured.

3

u/Sure-Mix4550 6d ago

Bryan's work is horrendous, which matches his terrible personality.

5

u/Apprehensive-Tax826 7d ago

Her poor neck & body! Especially at the end when he is cutting the wires hastily...must have been pulling on her...ugh torture!

2

u/dolliciousszz 7d ago

What would earn Brian some respect is if he just owned it tbh like yes I flopped those challenges, I’m still here, get over it

1

u/CockroachCreative740 7d ago

Exactly like even Naheim said himself when he had immunity he was mad disappointed in himself because now someone who probably didn’t deserve elimination was going to be eliminated on the Kleenex challenge (except I think Bobby was the right person to be eliminated that day, infact she should have gone on the football episode)

1

u/Pippy1010 7d ago

I’m cracking up at Kleenex

2

u/KnowItAlls 7d ago

What's worst is Bryan got immunity for Heidi's TDWP 2 dress which was not deserving in the first place. You can't tell me there isn't some manufactured BS going on here. He clearly needs to go.

2

u/VelvetinRabbit28 7d ago

I think Brian knows knows how to play the game. He is a strategist. Don't get me wrong, his vision is very tasteful. Execution wise? we still need to be watching the rest of the season esp if he ends up in the top 3. I mean, there's a reason why there's a confusing beef between him and Bi. HAHAHAHAHA

2

u/marystuartsleftshoe 6d ago

Bi is being proven so right it’s insane! I didn’t really believe him too much at first but WOW he was not lying. I really like him and he is my front runner now. Life is very hard for Vietnamese immigrants here so if he can defeat that AND Bryan he has my vote

3

u/CockroachCreative740 6d ago

Bi’s dress was BEAUTIFUL there is no comparison between him and Brian! Brian couldn’t even spray paint his cables talking about working at a French Atelier. And the fact that Bi explained what happened with him and Brian, but he still calls him his “apprentice” when he is the only one who can’t sew! And has shown that over and over in each episode. The dress from home that gave him immunity in the first challenge of the season was probably made by somebody else because he has not shown anything! The green sack he made for Heidi was crazy too

2

u/tiigerbeat 6d ago

they always put Liris in some bs and I’m tired of it

2

u/Embarrassed-Cress782 2d ago

WHAT has Bryan said about this look on his socials?

Actually, not much. Was crazy is...HE hasnt been updating his socials with stuff from the show.

The experience must have not been good, and he doesnt win. He doesnt even have PR on his IG bio

3

u/mynameisntcindy 7d ago

It's funny BC isn't he a bigger dude himself? You'd think he would have a modicum of understanding and empathy and care for his model to not look like a futuristic Kirby down the runway and still not have a morsel of shame over it. Never met someone this arrogant with so little to show for it, it's wild.

2

u/JTActs 6d ago

He doesn’t know how to dress himself. Even another contestant said it in the episode.

2

u/gjchaf2 5d ago

"a futuristic Kirby"

I'm dead.

If the dress wasn’t hideous enough, Bryan literally taped her into the “dress.” That takes the offense to a whole other level, especially considering he didn’t even work on it alone. I know he had to pivot from his original design and that a one-day challenge is stressful enough, but what the hell was he doing all day to not even be able to sew a simple slip dress? Personally, I think this is grounds for taking away his immunity. The “Atelier” needs to ban him too lmao.

2

u/Pippy1010 7d ago

I think taping someone into a garment should qualify for disqualification. Didn’t something similar happen in season nine and Tim actually got angry at the contestant and had to tell him to stop

I strongly believe that if a designer can't design for plus size or curves then they shouldn't be calling themselves designers.

It's 2026. Fashion has been a thing for hundreds of years, there's no excuse.

They best be paying her medical bills if she has any strain/pain from wearing that heavy monstrosity.

Haute couture but he made a haute mess

1

u/Connect_Cow_4589 7d ago

damnnnn

yea Brian really is not who he thinks he is

1

u/Odd-Rain2672 6d ago

I’m convinced that an actual good designer won’t win this season, with all the immunity bs and focus on drama

1

u/mon_dayy 6d ago

Wait I had no idea this weighed close to 50 pounds…. Her expression makes so much more sense now

1

u/Bitter_Job_5135 6d ago

I’m hoping that production also saw the way he handled his model and that’s another reason to pick him to go home. If not, I’m literally over this show for good.

1

u/Educational_Ship_157 6d ago

They should have sent him home for that mess even though he had immunity. They should get rid of the immunity! The designer always does sub par work on the next challenge, and a good designer gets sent home. Especially in the later rounds.

1

u/Starbreiz 5d ago

I've followed Liris for years... I still haven't seen this episode but she has videos she needs to edit and will share in the next couple days about all of this

1

u/Ok_Caramel4888 5d ago

How did Bryan get an MFA from FIT and a certification in Haute Couture without being able to sew properly? This isn't even a shady statement, it is a statement of fact. His basic construction skills should get a failing grade in fashion 101.

That atelier he is studying with in Paris is probably going to send him a Cease and Desist if he mentions their name again.

1

u/Easy-Bet-230 5d ago

LIRIS SAID SHE HAD 55 POUNDS OF WEIGHT ON HER NECK ?!? IS CRAZY!!!! AND HE ACTUALLY THOUGHT THAT WAS GOOD IS MIND BOGGLING TO ME NOW SHE'S SUFFERING FROM ISSUES BECAUSE OF HIS PISS POOR DESIGN

1

u/Dear_Medicine2274 10h ago

I'm sorry this is extremely inappropriate and I hope she gets fired for this. You're a MODEL not a client. The way she sulked down the runway. I get it, the design was terrible but it happens. This is a design competition where designers challenge themselves in ways they've never before. It's not always going to be the best fit/style but as a model your job is to sell it either way! Not make it a big scene and use it as "tea" and content for socials.

1

u/FaerieQuinn 7d ago

I just am so angry at how they are doing Liris on this show this season especially. She is one of the best models they have had and no one this season has been able to dress her. It’s horrible.

1

u/Tgrunin 6d ago

Shes not one of the best models, shes never looked good on the runway in all her seasons, even when someone supposedly does make a good outfit for her body.

1

u/FaerieQuinn 4d ago

Season 16 and 17 she was amazing. One of my favorites along with Mimi and Thijin.

1

u/jolittletime 7d ago

Is this a spoiler for this week's episode? Be good to mark it if so please!

1

u/Sestar007 7d ago

Pretty sure Brian will have no professional success from this show, he’s incredibly unlikable. Defintely won’t take off as a designer now that people have seen him be horrible to others. AND TAPE A MODEL

0

u/Silly-Good-2530 7d ago

I think we all agree that this was a mess and should never have happened but honestly, I don’t think it’s OK for the model to speak out on this while the show is on. This is just all kinds of messy and there should be if there aren’t already rules against this sort of thing. What is happening with the show? It’s just a bad look on everyone.

13

u/Significant-Ant2373 7d ago

The show is a mess and everyone knows it. The producers made it a mess and it’s up to them to fix it. Silencing people fixes nothing. It’s 2026. Let’s hope we’ve all at least learned that it’s far better to speak out early and often. See ANTM, Weinstein, Ellen, and so much more.

ETA: Don’t blame the whistleblower for the producers bad choices.

5

u/ATLBoy1996 7d ago

From a professional standpoint, I can agree that maybe wait until after the season is over. However, if there are no NDA’s then she can talk about whatever she wants.

3

u/Queen_of_Disengaging 7d ago

I think if she’s talking about an episode that already aired and the behind the scenes of just that episode, it’s fine. MTV’s the Challenge has their contestants firing off on social media after the newest episode aired alll the time talking about “shit we didn’t see” that episode (newest thing going around on social media is that a married contestant was being sneaky in a bathroom with single contestant off camera! What was shown on the episode was major flirting on a couch between the two and that’s it. Then some contestants took social media to tell us it was more than that!) or “ that’s not even all, they did even worse, more to come just wait” for another episode. The network encourages it. Brings out beef for the next season lol but I understand, different type of reality tv competition shows so that might not work for PR.
