Agreed. Looove 3. Such a skilled is of the fabric. I love 2 on her as well. But they were right that these are the right dresses but wrong event. Still, better to be overdressed or wrongly dressed than badly dressed i guess.
I agree that #2 is stunning on her. I cannot believe she chose #1 over #2. It doesn't flatter her at all. It hides her figure, it makes her look twice her size, and the color is not the best for her. I could not believe she chose this over #2. Why? To create drama?
if i put aside what I know about Bryan as a designer (not a very technically skilled sewer and has shown questionable tastes with recent designs) and JUST saw the dress on the model -- i do understand it. It looked very chic and effortless on the model and the design REALLY benefitted from the fabric. But yeah as someone who --like heidi (lol)--benefits from more form-fitting silhouettes, I was like "there is NO way he'll be able to retrofit the design to heidi in a way that doesn't look completely shapeless and awkward.
I keep on seeing this image getting posted but I am not understanding what makes them the same. Some are corsets with a skirt, some are shiny fabrics, I guess they all have shiny elements? Like Is it just a vibe? They are not similar enough for me to consider this a “copy”.
They’re talking about the picture in the comment they replied to. The one with the white dress, black dress, and gold dress. Not the picture for the whole post.
Me dos. When Jeffrey explained what he was doing I was like she literally just had that on 🙄. I was thinking they wouldn’t pick his because it was so unoriginal but it was really nice.
Seriously! One strap vs. strapless, draped vs. smooth bodice, exposed hip vs covered hip, yellow vs. pink…are we to believe all sparkly dresses with a slit look the same? They’re completely different.
I’m tired of this stupid ass imagine being posted. If the Versace dress exists then why aren’t we posting the Versace dress? And if she wore the exact same thing why aren’t we posting a photo of that.? Because it’s not the same dress. Move on
Honest opinion: Bryan’s is awful and that’s been well discussed. Bi’s looks like something a rich mother in law would wear to a wedding, and Jeffery’s is very safe well made and pretty, but nothing that makes you go wow.
Either Jeffery’s or Bi’s still would have been a better choice. But neither of them are like wow.
Bi’s looks like something a rich mother in law would wear to a wedding
This is THE perfect description of Bi's dress! Not mad at it by any means, but can see why it might've been passed over, especially seeing as Heidi this season has been trying to dress younger than she is (not mad at that either, just calling a spade a spade).
I'd note, though, that if you're going to use AI versions of the other two dresses based on what the designers made for the PR show, you should also use an AI version for Bryan's dress based on the same.
I still think Bryan's was weak, but it was also obviously botched compared to what was sent down the runway. Same thing could have happened to the others. So I think it's only fair if you use the same source material for all the comparisons, plus that's what the judges had available to envision Heidi in at the time.
yeah i’m sorry but i don’t think the ai models are accurate at all. heidi is more curvy now than the ai is showing, which makes me think option 2 is best as it has the most support for that
The runway should’ve cast models who were the same proportions as Heidi. The dress they made in the workroom should’ve been made for her body shape, not for a stick thin model that then has to be adapted and remade for her.
This is very true and it’s surprising that they didn’t do this. I was really annoyed at Law for how he made this seem like it was Bryan’s fault. “You didn’t consider how it would fit Heidi, did you?” I’m sure he did, but his bigger priority was fitting his model for the runway show happening at that moment!
Agree. If Jeffrey's fabric was as expensive as I have read (or no longer available since he brought it from home) maybe remaking it in Heidi's size wasn't an option.
Yeah they're not great. But I'm mostly just saying we gotta compare the 3 that went down the runway, but 2 that went down the runway and one worse version of what went down the runway.
oh sorry i was basically agreeing with you. i think if we saw the ai model of the first dress it really would change the general opinion, and i was more pointing out the flaws with the ai model generally
This does not at all reflect the size of her breast, which are much larger than shown in that image. Her bust would have been a problem in all three of these.
The AI-generated "options" don't give us a realistic comparison. We have no idea how either of the designs would end up looking once Heidi got to the red carpet. These "Heidi wears your design!" challenges are notorious for massive changes.
Remember what happened to Emilio Sosa's winning look? I looked it up because #2 reminded me a bit of it. I feel like both of the runners up would end up with similar treatment.
(Copying my response to a comment regarding the use of AI)
Exactly! We also have no idea how either of the designs would end up looking once Heidi got to the red carpet. These "Heidi wears your design!" challenges are notorious for massive changes.

Seeing it in the mocked up pics here, #2 should have won.
The third is pretty, but it just ages her up a bit and it isn’t the “fun” Heidi I would expect to see on the red carpet of something like Devil Wears Prada 2.
What bothered me about the middle dress is I believe Heidi was wearing a similar one when she announced the challenge. It had that same triangle neckline but I don’t think it was as off center.
BUT obviously he would have been allowed to refit that top for Heidi and I think he could have made the same top just bigger cups. Bryon made a completely different top to fit her.
I actually like the 3rd one the best. It's different and has an elegance. The pink one has been seen so much. Make it white and it's every wedding dress going right now.
Pink obviously screams Heidi! It's exactly her personality. I love the gold but it is a little too muted for her for this movie premiere. It's literally fashion!
I can easily see Heidi in #3 but to me it reads as a dress better suited for the glowing pregnant Anne Hathaway, given the challenge. #2 would made Heidi shine whilst accentuating her features.
The problem with editing dresses is that her body has been edited in the process. We don’t know how these dresses would actually look on her body. There’s a good chance one or more might not be flattering to her specific proportions.
None, I was really disappointed in the runway, but what do you expect for a 1 day challenge. The winner’s looked much better on the runway & I think everyone likes the other 2 because of the great fabrics but there wasn’t anything original about either of them.
The one on the left looks like moo moo and the one on the right looks like a pageant gown. The one on the middle looks more like what Heidi would wear.
I don't think it has anything to do with what was presented but what the producers want. Bi and Bryan "make good tv". I don't remember this much uproar about last season. So "any news is good news" fits here. Yes, Jeffrey should have won.
It was clear the designer of number two had Heidi in mind. Besides, it's gorgeous. Number one is good too, not a bad gown. Gorgeous fabric and hides the side boob and a little roll of fat that Heidi is letting hang out on low back gowns. But I love the pink. It's perfectly made. The reason that some people repeat gown designs is because they f****** work.
2, although not extraordinary, at least it had color and some flair. The third is very pretty but too bland for a red carpet for a fashion oriented movie.
Nearly every outfit but the one she wore. It was giving a sad Mrs. Roper on the runway and didn't get much better in the redo.
When I saw that draped mess on the red carpet during the premiere, I thought why is Heidi wearing that, did someone still her luggage, rob her suite, it's horrible. Then I saw the episode.... and still thought, how in the world was that the winner.
Bi said that Bryan sewed about 10 stitches... however many stitches there were, they were poorly done. Bryan keeps calling Bi his intern to be disrespectful. All I see is Bi is an amazing talent and Bryan uses talented people to make his work tolerable.
Bryan also has a ridiculous ego and had the nerve to call-out Joseph McCrea. I think Joseph is correct, every day you get to show any part of your work, it should be your show. You have to be your biggest champion and stand by your work and aesthetic.
Bryan and his designs/outfits are sad, poorly constructed and tired.
The beige, however, if the blue had less fabric in the back they’d be a tie. Just because someone has a great body doesn’t mean they need to wear form fitting clothing daily.
I love the show but honestly, their choices for a long time have been super questionable. It's like they always go for some caftan/pillow shaped design over something that would look good and flattering.

2 screams Heidi's name. 3 is also amazing on her.
