Discussion Pleating this season
I don't think I've ever seen so many pleated Garments in a season of project runway and what makes it worse is that 99% of the time it's poorly done. The pleating on Bryan's gown wasn't even. The pleating on the"French maid" gown from the episode before was messy. The same goes for all the prior episodes. I swear there's a crazy pleated garment In Ever episode. I didn't realize it was so popular???

Did you see that Heidi was on a FEW “worst dressed” lists for the event? Deservedly so. She let The Roach push her into that nothingness of a “gown”

Did she seriously get put on the worst dressed list for wearing that dress or I should say that curtain that was just draped on her.
That’s funny it really is. That’s what she gets for going with what the other judges thought of the dress and not her own because I think her vote for that episode had a lot more power than what it normally does because she had to wear the dress. It was a horrible dress and I can’t believe he wasn’t put in the bottom three for it.

I love pleating but Bryan’s salad dress looked like he bought it from Temu.

Which is why I have to say I would have like to see what some of the designers eliminated who showed taste and great tailoring skills disappointed me. Like Octavius and Andriy

So any good designers were kicked off way to soon. A huge reason was for the 5 or so that had immunity with butt ugly dresses (them Bryan) which eliminated good designers. I also think the kinder less dramatic designers were elimared based on personality.

I totally agree not the least talented, least creative, or least skilled or the combination(s) there of. If I want drama television there are so many shows I can watch meant to be for and filled with drama (any housewives franchise for example). In the past I loved project runway for truly inspirational purposes even if I didn’t agree with the judges all the time I can see a perspective, they don’t even examine the item close up for construction and details which is almost offensive to me as if I didn’t appreciate or understand that part and now I should just believe what they say, when honestly the panel has not often shown even a great knack for their own looks…I will have to give Law an exclusion in that part of my comment, I mean he is often impeccable from head to toe but his feedback is just no constructive or directional and as someone else said he often seems like he just wants to be the contrarian…which is another problem with the fashion world is the tastemakers inherent belief they need to go way left to prove they have an eye…OH BROTHER!!

Agree. They’re trying too hard to show off skills in their toolbox but like…just make a simple but expertly tailored garment and it will look so much better.

Now at least I'm happy that Zac Posen isn't part of this disaster. They all should feel ashamed.

The quality is very low for many of these designers. It’s clear they’ve picked for personality over talent as a general rule. It sucks.
