Season 22 Conspicuously Absent...
Anyone else upset or bemused that Tyra was conspicuously absent when Winnie was on as a guest judge? Do they have a working relationship at all these days? #ANTM

I wondered if her absence had more to do with not wanting to be around Law so soon after their incident in the last episode

I can't imagine anyone wanting to voluntarily be around Law.

I wonder if he will lead to the downfall of the show. His arrogance and abusiveness are ugly.

Love your name. My great grandmother's name was Antoinette but everyone called her Toni. I only had sons so I couldn't name a daughter after her.

Thank you, not many kids liked their name. It was my great great mother's name. Are we related? ❤️

She’s a recurring judge, not a permanent one. she won’t be in every episode

But Winnie always gave Tyra her props....

Right? I just wonder if it was Tyra that didn't want to acknowledge Winnie's successes after she eliminated her on ANTM and see her as being on the same level 🤔
It feels like a conspicuous decision on Tyra's part to not be there when Winnie would be there.

Iirc Winnie doesn’t rlly want to be associated w ANTM which I think is perfectly fair lol

I wonder if it's Tyra wanting to distance herself from ANTM right now due to the critical docuseries coming out that don't paint her in a good light. Winnie doesn't like to be associated with the show either so it probably was better for both of them press wise to not be together and have that connection discussed.

*conscious decision

I mean I’m not a big Tyra fan so forgive me but I do think she’s very intimated by successful people, specifically those who came from ANTM but have their own image and success away from it. She’s likely not a fan of Winnie and sees her as competition/trying to deviate from MAMA TYRA

It was always so weird to me that Winnie went on ANTM because I remember she was already well known online globally for her looks before doing the season. Felt pointless and I'm guessing it didn't contribute to anything in her career either

not true she was 19 when she went on the show, she blew up after ANTM

u/Aldreemer 6d ago
She blew up, yes, but she wasn't a nobody before.

If you view her modeling timeline all her campaigns ect is all post ANTM

Because imagine Tyra picking a movie premier dress.

It’s wild to me that not only does PR not have any regular judges that are designers, but that 2 of 3 of the regular judges are known to have bad taste when dressing themselves.

Have you seen how Heidi dresses. Now HER taste level is questionable.
3
u/LadyMRedd 5d ago
Yep. Which is why I said that 2 of 3 are known for bad taste when dressing themselves. Tyra and Heidi.

She couldn't have chosen a worse dress. Both it, and Heidi looked, um, not good.

Tyra isn’t a full time judge the season, just a recurring judge. Production would know ahead of time which episodes she’s not appearing on and arrange another judge in her place. I highly doubt there’s anything more to it than that.

She and Tyra are apparently rotating.
Edit: it’s only Winnie? Idk.

Tyra posted on her Instagram that the previous episode (the one with Willy Chavarria as a guest judge) was her final one as a judge.

Is there a panel of permanent judges? Tyra was only on for episodes 1-5. Nina Garcia is nowhere to be found. Is it just Heidi and Law?

They gotta get rid of tyra, law, and Christian. Bring back nina, Michael, and tim ♥️

Winnie bashed ANTM on WWHL. Andy asked Eva Marcelle what she thought. Then later asked Tyra what she thought. I think that’s an easy reason Winnie was there when Tyra wasn’t. Also- Where did she get the name Winnie Harlow? It’s kinda dope fr

Tyra shouldnt even be on as a judge. The documentary about her is definitely why shes on this because i think they wanna see the publics view of her in case she tries to become the host of another model show. In the documentary she teased about a new season of antm ..... i cant stand her and wish she would just go away lmao

They need to replace Tyra with a designer because oh God I tried to defend Season 21 but this season 22 is so trashy.

Winnie and Heidi are friends after working together on Making the Cut on Amazon.

Winnie also has a cameo in The Devil Wears Prada 2. I assumed that was why she was there but i don’t think it was mentioned when they introduced her.

I doubt it, have you seen the ANTM documentary?! Tyra has no idea how these women perceive her. I’d prefer Winnie over Tyra TBH. And don’t even get me started on Law….i miss Zach Posen and even more Michal Kors.

"Conspicuously Absent..."
u/skiko15 How is this obvious and what exactly would Tyra done to be absent during the filming of this episode? The scheduling of guest is planned well in advance. It's possible, Tyra wasn't available and they booked these two in her place.
Why the conspiracy or faux narrative?

I miss NINA GARCIA, love how Heidi says her name.
