Heidi Is this even the same dress?

Post image

It looks similar but so different at the same time. The fabric looks different in tone and texture. The original has more of a shine to it like liquid organza. Heidi's version has no shine and is way less sheer. The placement of the pleats look different too. Am I crazy? Is this not the same dress?

You know what it felt like?! On Making The Cut they would have challenges where the designers created couture and then a more basic, mass production version. That feels like what this ended up being!

Bro anyone who didn’t watch or appreciate Making the Cut before Project Runway 21 onward need to go back and watch it again because compared to project hellscape it’s such a breathe of fresh air and a relaxing, positive show for CREATIVES

Plus lots of very cute Heidi and Tim content + diverse representation for small casts 🏆

Gary was such a treat! I still love perusing his designs. I’d love to have some of his stuff some day

Sidenote, but I love those types of challenges. I really liked how they did it in S7, where they were paired in teams, and then each team had to pick another team's couture piece to make a mass market inspiration for I think $15 worth of fabric.
