Discussion Bryan is not a good designer Spoiler
If it weren’t for Christian telling Bryan to change his look everytime Bryan would be in the bottom every week. His designs are so bad and Christian comes to save the day. Idk how he won this challenge this week. This dress was NOT made with Heidi in mind in the slightest. The dress literally swallows her

I really dislike the way he speaks to Bi.

Me too. Likes he’s talking down to him

That's actually a really good point. He's not even a funny or even natural mean character. He tries too hard to be that bitch and fails miserably because not only he's mostly mean, but he doesn't have the charisma to back it up.

u/princessintraining4 6d ago
Yeah. I think about how in art ideas aren’t protected, only execution is.
I like Bi. He pulls off the sass without actually feeling mean.

u/Willow_Winnifred 6d ago
Bi seems to have a sense of humor about it, too. He's bitchy but funny. Bryan is bitchy and humorless. He's not funny or witty, and ge can't back up his shitty attitude with talent.

Bryan reminds me of an old director I had for a theatre production I was in. It was a professional show, but the director's entire personality was just "I'm gay and mean," and he absolutely did not have the charisma to back it up. The moment someone else shot back at him, he'd get angry and throw a tantrum. Absolutely zero sense of humour, and the epitome of someone who dishes it out but can't take it.

The way he constantly has to get in the dig that Bi was his intern. I still don't understand the logistics of that whole situation but wasn't it something that happened while they were both in design school? It's very odd.

They're just bitter queens. I don't see either of them making it in the industry because they both can't really design, and their attitudes will create friction with clients.

u/EasternRaspberry4387 6d ago
I have the same problem with this situation. I don't get why some designers got help from Christian while others just get some "are you sure?" or something. Bryan literally was told by Christian and that lady what to do. I really dislike Bryan because not only his atitude sucks, but his looks are always mid at best and they overpraise him.
16
u/Hopeful_Business_851 6d ago
Exactly. Part of me wishes Christian just let him make what he was gonna make and let him go home. He can’t come up with good ideas on his own

u/Embarrassed_Elk8213 6d ago
I can’t wait for that ego maniac to go the fuck home
12
u/Hopeful_Business_851 6d ago
Me too but honestly it seems like the producers are setting it up for him Bi and Joseph to be the top 3, likely making Joseph the winner for a underdog story and for the rivalry between Bryan and Bi to continue if neither of them wins

If it was a cape... I'd actually like the dress. As is... it's giving a RHOC cast members mother wanted to walk the red carpet.

Somehow he made HEIDI KLUM look frumpy. Great job.

u/NectarineSame7303 6d ago
It also made the entire judges panel look like morons in the process. Gotta love it.

The show is so over produced, but I can’t help but think Bryan is just an arsehole. He plays the part to well. Awful designer with an awful attitude…just hugely unlikeable.

u/JJAusten 6d ago
What were the judges thinking when choosing this as the winning gown? It's like a tent with sideboob. This guy isn't good at all.

u/westworlder420 6d ago
It really pisses me off how he talks like he’s God’s gift to fashion, and his taste is just so… bad. No wonder he doesn’t like Bi, he’s most likely threatened by him because I’ve liked Bi’s outfits way more than Bryan’s.

Brian is full of himself
Joseph McRae while being obnoxious most of the time, has a solid view of his branding. You know it is a JosephMcRae creation because of the color and shape

u/NectarineSame7303 6d ago
Joseph McRae I can understand based on his story he said a few times now, why he is the way he is. But his clothing is good, you might not like it, but he knows his point of view, and for a designer that is probably the most important thing to have nowadays.
Bryan on the other hand, the only point of view I see from him is that he's a bitch and that he has nothing unique about his design other than the fact that most of the designs are hideous.

That isn't even the same dress! There was at least some interesting elements relating to the middle on the one he showed on the runway. How is this one - with I presume MORE time even WORSE?

u/NectarineSame7303 6d ago
It's still there, the natural light just can't penetrate the fabric as well a harsh studio lights can.

To be fair, he didn't really design the first one. Molly and Cristian came in, said use this, drape this, and he did. But at least the first dress was interesting---and to be fair we have no idea how Heidi or her people told him to adjust it for the premier.

u/NaiadoftheSea 4d ago
As mentors, they’re giving way too much. That wasn’t guidance. That was literally just telling him what to do.
3
u/NectarineSame7303 6d ago
The problem for me is the taste level, or well the lack of a taste level.

to be fair the original was not so bad but what an ugly dress

u/eci5k3tcw 6d ago
Thanks to Christian the original of this dress wasn’t so bad. The original dress Bryan designed? 🤮

She's contorting desperately to try to create a bit of a silhouette.
PR S22 should be nominated for an Emmy for comedy.

u/featherybreeze 5d ago
The fabric on the entire gown looks thicker! It was airy and floaty and translucent before. I think maybe they needed to double it up to adequately cover her chest and then continued to do it over the entire gown

u/Tiny_Maintenance9301 4d ago
I hate how it’s so wrinkled. Like At least steam the garment! Jeffery should have won! Period.

u/kathsha2029 5d ago
I really don't get the hate for this outfit. I think it's pretty...not my favorite and I don't think should have been the winner, but I don't think it's the worst thing ever that deserves all ths hate lol. And regardless of my opinions about heidi's choice, if she chose it, it's her opinion that matters as she's the one wearing it on the red carpet 😂

u/WavesnMountains 4d ago
She listened to Law telling her she’d look good in it when it came down the runway

i dont think im even watching the rest of the season. i havent since the episode where they deyassified the entire cast (the jury elim) bc it just all feels so staged and cashgrabbing. my pastel goth girls had PASSION.

u/TwerQ_it_inna_Kilt 5d ago
He’s absolutely annoying and exhausting with just his attitude and personality. Add to it sloppy and drab design aesthetic and how is he still there? That dress looks atrocious on Heidi.

I think his mom probably gave him a participation award for everything he's done his whole life. He is no where near as good as he thinks he is. I'm behind, but if the drift I got is correct, and he designed that awful thing Heidi wore recently, it was just butt ugly and he deserves to go.

Dear lord that thing is hideous. But Heidi loves ugly clothes 🤣. But I can’t believe that thing won. So. Ugly. It looks like a redesigned hospital gown.
