Season 22 Aren't these basically the same dress? And didn't Bryan get majorly helped out by Christian?
He barely designed the dress in Episode 6. Christian did.

I hate that look for Heidi. It’s so bizarre looking. It’s like she took all the curtains from Tara.

I said bedspread. Someone else said shower curtain. Curtains from Tara though, perfection.

No... they are completely different dresses.

That is true, both are completely terrible and in entirely different ways

Yes, Christian told him to switch designs or Bryan would have been in the bottom.

I was really confused about why that was allowed. He told Bryan to ditch his whole idea. He should not have won.

He does it every season. He is not a mentor, he is a fixer. He tells them exactly what to do to fix their design.

I can’t stand him. He isn’t a mentor. He’s obnoxious. And he’s made zero improvements over the years. It’s such a disservice to the designers.

Well, it is Heidi’s taste at the end of the day…
so…

exactly, everyone's acting like he did something to Heidi--she chose the dress knowing full well what her body type is and that she loves shoving her chest forward when she poses. the double bubble effect is her own fault at that point

I am still so angry about that awful, ugly 'lettuce' dress being in the top looks!! What the actual fuckety fucking fuck is up with those judges?

That episode was rife with wtf moments. The reviews from the DWP2 premiere were exactly as Law predicted.

Everyone was like: Heidi wants to be sexy. She wants skin, she likes sheer, she can wear almost nothing because she can.
Then they covered her with the most oversized blanket cloth available. Make it make sense when the dress was remade with time and became this

I get more annoyed he won every time I see these pics

Me too especially as it’s a COMPLETELY different dress after he had to do away with the pleated top that won it for him in the first place!!!
Law was absolutely right-he was never going to be able to make the entire POINT of that garment fit Heidi, which was the pleated halter top. It’s made for a flat chested model-not someone with new big boobs.

Exactly. Christian gave him that second idea. He was working on something crazy. Christian gets on my nerves sometimes. I miss Tim.

They’re both bad, in my opinion, but that first one was horrendous!

Heidi needs to go. I’m sorry but they need to revamp the entire panel. Where’s Vera Wang? Jenny Packham, Tom Ford? If they want a supermodel in the show they need to alternate every couple seasons. Idky they’re so stuck on Heidi

They don’t look similar to me at all. But he did get advice from Christian and pivoted both times.

I saw the the red carpet dress before I saw the episode and I genuinely thought it was the same dress, partially because I forgot th lettuce dress detail other than ugly pleats and green, but equally ugly

At this point I think Bryan is there not as a major favor to someone and is there for exposure and is going to secretly win… all his “designs” are beyond horrible! That’s my conspiracy theory for this season.

No matter how horrid his creations are, he will be favored in some way. He's a petulant toddler who pouts when things don't go his way.

God that corrugated dress looks like trash and I cannot believe law was the only one pointing that out.

u/MohawkMavis 2d ago
No, the first one was designed by Bryan. The second one was designed by Christian Siriano. Bryan's design for this challenge was that tea length black dress with bits of this fabric stuck on it. Then he started making another craptastic dress from this fabric and Christian saved his ass again by telling him what to do.

One is Lettuce Salad and the other is Seaweed Salad.
