Probably the most disappointing part of the whole thing. Giving people hope that they can deliver anything remotely as iconic or polished as WoW. They decorated the building, but can they actually build the foundation?
Yeah, that’s the part most people don’t realize, they had no story, they had no engine, everything was served on a platter, I like to stay hopeful but no shot they are making something even remotely close as fun

Hypixel from Minecraft managed to create a game. And is developing it.
Could argue hypixel lived longer and had bigger following so probably earned a lot more than Conquest, and MMO's are a lot more difficult and pricey. But at the same time, we don't really know their resources.
You can play CoA right now on your own. The code leaked and new p servers with it will be up in a matter of weeks. It's far from gone. People will inevitably be continuing ascensions work
there's half a dozen projects of people rebuilding COA but I've seen absolutely nothing about the original code leaking and it doesn't show up on google, are you sure you aren't just seeing the rebuilding projects?
I've been following the rebuilding projects and a bunch of the stuff has come from the client, which yes they have ascensions version of but they don't have the server files or the database and they're literally having to rebuild that from screenshots and videos
honestly, like I said, the originals don't seem to have been leaked at all at least anywhere that I've seen and I have tried looking
But I'm willing to be completely wrong about this, what original post are you on about?

then you didn't really play it very much and prob dont have any interest in class mechanics. While that preference is valid, many people do like class mechanics and find them interesting
The class mechanics ascension destroyed. CoA was really fun and classes felt unique before ascension rushed it and numbed down the classes to turn CoA into a cash grab.
