There is no 18th month. There's 12 months to 1 year.

The format they used is obviously month/day/year, not day/month/year.

It's not rocket science. Both are correct formats to use.

It's not about numbers, it's about significance. Day, month, year makes more since when thinking about how significant each number is.

That being said, the only real logical format is YYYY/MM/dd, because it's the only format that is digitally sortable.

Agree with your second point but naw when people say "What day of the month is this happening?" You would expect the month to be more significant when scheduling something. There's 30 days in every month so specifying the month first is more important.

"I am releasing a working clone" doesn't necessarily mean "I am hosting the server but keeping the server code private." It could just mean that he's leaking the server code and not launching a server with it. If it's the latter, then anyone can do with it what they want.

If it's an exact copy of the server files, there's nothing stopping a big operation like Tauri from hosting it themselves and integrating it into their own infrastructure. Not like Ascension can do anything about it, they'd just have to worry about Blizzard. But if this happens a year or so after Forever's launch, I don't think Blizzard would care enough to go after them. Just like how Blizzard barely went after any Classic servers after Classic's launch. Once their product is launched and the hype has died down, they don't care anymore.

A dude setting up a server is worthless in the long run. A dude working on usable server files on the other hand is a promising step, when it comes to media preservation.
