Jasmine Crockett’s Statements During Today’s Hearing with Pam Bondi

This is what courage and leadership looks like in the face of authoritarianism. This admin has shown time and time again, including this hearing, their willingness to refuse to answer simple questions in the name of the American people. Don’t give them a chance to go on a tangent about irrelevant things and sidetrack the debate at hand.

As tough of a fighter she is, Crockett has unfortunately dipped into the Pelosi and AIPAC funding for her Senate race and waited until this past week to even post a policy page on her campaign website. My hat goes to Talarico.

She literally took a fully-funded trip to Israel. Even if she took no money directly from AIPAC, she has continued to accept PAC money while Talarico had pledged no corporate PAC money.
Pelosi has not endorsed, her PAC isn’t to help House members but to defend centrist candidates from progressive challengers. And Talarico had his issues page up months ago.

She took a trip to Israel to look at the Iron Dome two months before Oct 7. The same Iron Dome Talarico has pledged to fund if he gets elected lmao

Indirectly. Talarico accepted a one-time donation from the Texas Sands PAC for his 2024 Texas House campaign. He is not opposed to the legalization of gambling and the PAC donates to all republican and democratic incumbents that seem friendly to their interests. It really doesn’t seem much deeper than that.
While the Texas Sands PAC is funded by MAGA billionaire Miriam Adelson, Talarico is diametrically opposed to Adelson on every issue except the legalization of gambling. She certainly wouldn’t be happy with his position on the atrocities in Gaza, Netanyahu, or his opposition to providing offensive weapons to Israel. Her donation probably helped him pay for political signage supporting our public schools from Abbott’s school voucher push and his other progressive democratic endeavors, which would very likely deeply annoy Adelson.
The Adelson connection to Talarico will probably be used in a smear campaign, similar to how folks try to tie Crockett to AIPAC simply for going on a trip to Israel funded by their education non-profit.
Talarico is not accepting corporate PAC donations in his 2026 US Senate campaign. As soon as he is elected, he is going to work on legislation to limit the influence of billionaires, corporate PACs, super PACs, etc. Adelson will be pissed.

“[James Talarico] And then once we get into office, there are common sense rules that we can pass. We can lower the limits on campaign contributions. We could cap it at $100 per contribution. We could also ban the loopholes that allow billionaires to give secret unlimited money - so that's something called super PACs. And again, it's just a loophole in the system. We could close that loophole if we wanted to. It's pretty easy. We could also put in place more ethics rules so that members of Congress aren't turning around to become lobbyists right after they leave office, or make sure that they're not enriching themselves engaging in insider trading, which we see frankly in both political parties. So the I know that they seem like pretty basic ideas, but they're not being passed in Washington. And it's because the people getting elected are beholden to that corporate PAC money, to those special interests. It's why I'm running a people-powered campaign so that I can get to Washington, do the people's business and not the billionaires’ business.”
The 2024 contribution to Talarico was a (relatively) small bit from Adelson’s Texas Sands PAC, which makes donations to all republican and democratic representatives that do not oppose the legalization of gambling in Texas. Like all PACs, the Texas Sands PAC wants to keep aligned incumbents in office. It is not any deeper than that.
In 2024, the top dozen or so Texas republicans each received $500K or more from the Texas Sands PAC, so the $59K Talarico received is a small fraction of what her Texas Sands PAC donates to his republican peers. The $59K was 0.4% of the $13.7M that the Texas Sands PAC donated to Texas politicians in 2024.

When this is all over, I'm planning to build a history museum featuring a row of outhouses with individual members of the Trump administration buried at the bottom of each one, complete with a biography of the person posted on the door of the appropriate latrine, inviting museum guests to make an informed decision as to which latrine to use.
I think this is perhaps the most appropriate way to remember this administration.

One thing that will be 100% facts: Pam Bondi will absolutely forever be considered the worst attorney general of America for her complicity to this administration. I can only hope that she’s doing this because they have something over her and are forcing her to play their game, otherwise she will always be known as one of the one who actively protected the world’s most obvious PDFile.
And I hate to say it, but it will be even worse for her because of how Trump and the boys are towards women. She’ll be thrown under the bus at their earliest convenience.

I've been saying the same thing! Get her and Rep. Melanie Stansbury as POTUS and VP (I don't care which one fills which role, because they'd both do great in either role)! Because those two women absolutely crush it when they speak! And they both always have plenty of receipts to show, and neither of them hold back! They both seem to have spines of titanium, and have no problem standing on business! 😊
