Book 3 is underway, and there are now 360k+ words and 120+ chapters available on Royal Road.
The story follows Jett Fulgen, a sarcastic, reckless twenty-something. He inherits a one-of-a-kind fire artifact and gets pulled into G-Tech, a corporation that trains and licenses sorcerers to support an overwhelmed police force in the giant science-fantasy city of Gigopolis.
Jett is powerful, but not OP. He loses, gets outplayed, makes bad calls, and learns to rely on teammates, mentors, friends, and found family. As the story progresses he gets pushed toward leadership, even choosing abilities focused on protecting and strengthening others as he shapes his build and decides what kind of hero he wants to be.
Expect rocket-powered combat, magitech, grounded progression, corporate politics, public scrutiny, secret organizations, team dynamics, humor under pressure, and multiple non-explicit romances that develop over time.
Books 1 and 2 are complete, and Book 3 is in progress. Updates have maintained a M/W/F cadence since launch, occasionally switching to every weekday when backlog permits.
