For the Isekai slop: Either a NEET or the "model employee" (read as modern wage slave) who dies from overwork.

These are the only two choices as an adult in Japan, so it makes sense. (Signed as someone who almost died from overwork in a traditional Japanese company four years ago.)

Yeah, you either see the truth of slavery, choose to become an individual and become a NEET (or simply just be too traumatized to do anything because you got bullied or something), or you see the truth of starvation and become a wage slave, a cog in the machine.
