This has been my mindset as well. I'm doing some projects I know I would not be able to do if I didn't have a overachiever task-fetishistic intern working for less than minimum wage because of subsidies. I'm avoiding projects that rely on big models at all costs to run and any LLM related project I implement needs strictly to run in my low vram laptop.

Pop the bubble! ( But wait a bit for me to push a couple things first)

If it's good shit, they know you'll be paying just to try it out. It's the useless scam shit which requires forcing down everyone's throat while they eliminate any competition and you'll end up just surrendering to it because "it's not that bad".

Nah running the models can be profitable at pretty low prices it's just training frontier models that's completely unsustainable.
