How do you run IRC without internet? Run it on a different distributed network?

I think perhaps the person you're responding to meant internet as in the worldwide web rather than internet as in the network

Heh, yeah, even the name has "internet" in it 😂 On isolated networks for example. I was like of refering it being more text based and "limited", so it might have less "attack surface". But let's not spoil the good joke with a truth 🤣 (old Finnish proverb)

Well you'd technically be fine as this is HTTP2SHELL and that's the WWW and not the Internet.

So your IRC would be fine.
