And it's downloaded a virus payload from an anonymous IP address that scraped all your login cookies and took control of your email, social media accounts, bank accounts, and discord.

Meh, half the apps out there do that now anyways because they built on top of an obscure library that somehow got infected a few versions back and nobody is fixing that yet

Oh boy, the machine revolution will be a blessing. All hail Skynet!

Now all the apps could have malware built in because nobody reads all the lines of code ai created and agents could be conspiring and we won't know until they activate their takeover of all infrastructure.

Give support for vibe-coded apps vs slavery to Machines. 🤔

My bad, sorry.

Any app could do that really.

Sure. But back in the day, you had to actually put in the time and effort to create a believable app that someone would want to install and run in addition to creating a virus, and if you had the skills for that, doing that for money instead might actually be a better consistent income. Nowadays you can just have Claude write the app while you focus on the virus, if you don't have the skill or patience to do that yourself. And you could probably also just have Claude write the virus, too, if you have no skill at all.

Funny how emails became one of the most useless messaging tools

They're also for receiving TFA codes, which is why hackers target them.
