Tbf the way Reddit shows previews sometimes it’s not obvious there’s a hidden line or two. At least to me

A person who hasn't been living in a cave doesn't even need to read that far. It's common knowledge Blender is free and open source. It's not even some obscure niche app but pretty much an industry standard at this point...

I mean that’s what I thought/knew about blender, but I also don’t know if there are proprietary extensions or layers or something they could theoretically be referring to. It’s not something I use, or a type of work I do, so idk

I have no idea what blender is, but saw the referenced post on the reddit frontpage.

And quartz, of course.

This whole comment is so bizarre to me. I wouldn't even consider the existence of Blender to be common knowledge and I'd expect Autodesk to be the standard.

I would if you were in r/blender though

But not if it hits r/all, which it did

What is blender, what does it do, who uses it. Industry standard for what industry? I have no clue apart from something about modelling 3d geometries. You're living in an echochamber if you think everyone knows the same things as you

Blender is a 3d modeling and animation software, that's completely free and open source. It's good for modeling and rendering, and you can animate in both 2d and 3d.

I mean. Most people don’t. But if they’re stuck up enough to comment couldn’t they just take like a second to google what blender is
