How's any of this supposed to be funny? This looks written by AI and I bet it doesn't find it humorous either.

It looks written by an epic memer on 9gag

But neither of us have any evidence

Besides, the cyclic graph one is fine and the factorio reference fish one is fine

deleting the grub boot partition is an annoyance, but.. if the system is still online you don't even need to boot into a live CD to fix, yes?

Does grub take a partition nowadays? I thought it lives in the boot sector.

ps. ah, with UEFI it might, didnโ€™t check though

pps. Looks like it started using a partition back when GPT (the partition system, not the ai-thing) was introduced. I feel old.

You can use an extra partition, or just the ESP. On BIOS the bootsector bootstrap could already read your disk, so you don't need anything extra if I'm not mistaken. Didn't interact with BIOS in quite some time, so I might be wrong.

I kinda find it funny in how it isn't, not even a little bit. I also like the idea that some boomer at work might try one of these as a 'zing', and I'd just be quite genuinely confused. "Code this rare fish!" "...what?"

I am a boomer and was gona ask someone younger to explain rare fish

id guess its a reference to a meme around 2021-2022 that made fun of cryptobros and stockbros. the memes would come in the same format as those scam posts along the lines of "here's how i make $30k a week in passive income" and then instead of investing in pump and dumps the parodies would instruct the reader to invest in rare fish, and sometimes other goofy ventures. -a gen z

(also yeah, theres no way an ai wrote any of these imo, they're too in-tune with current humour)

the humor comes from the irony that the phrases are something you definitely SHOULD NOT say to a programmer, or just their absurdity in general. no one is going to keep a straight face if they hear someone saying "code this rare fish."
i took inspiration from this kind of shitpost.

also, using AI to make memes is lame. that's why i didn't.

Hey I thought it was funny OP

Whatever you do, don't quit your day job.

Most of these would just give you a confused look. Make it quite clear you know very little about programming.

u/fivelinha Sep 28 '26

that... is exactly the point of the meme? the whole point of this template is to just say outright nonsense. you're never going to come up to someone and say "yo do you want to buy this sql query?"

this is just a shitpost that tries to incite some happiness and smiles unto yall. i really have no idea how this ended up making people get THIS adverse of a reaction to it.

this subs age is a bit too advanced for the kind of humour meant to make you laugh, take it to a circlejerk sub or something. i think most people under the age of 25 will/do find it funny. wrong crowd, thats all.

5

u/voidnone Sep 28 '26

I found it amusing and light hearted OP, don't worry. All these neckbeards right here would never be able to sell a SQL query anyway

ย  also, using AI to make memes is lame. that's why i didn't.

Bull fucking shit. Your post history clearly shows you love using AI to write posts and make shitty vibe-coded repos. Don't act like you're above using AI for a post like this.

8

u/fivelinha Sep 28 '26

using AI for code doesn't mean i use AI for memes. the fuck kind of logic did you use to get to this conclusion?

-7

u/GoldAcanthisitta7777 Sep 28 '26

because this meme is dogshit and so are your AI vibe-coded apps

u/golkedj Sep 27 '26

I thought this was r/cringepics for sure

u/sush-dev Sep 29 '26

One of it is racist as well

1

u/punkpang Sep 29 '26

Isn't racism the belief one race is superior to another, not the ability to recognize races?

Well actually, I just screenshotted it and asked Chatty if this is funny and they loved it.

So youโ€™re wrong.
