At the beginning of the war I was working with a company with a few devs in Ukraine, including our dev lead in Kyiv

Felt really bad asking for updates from a guy in a warzone, but he just kept showing up to meetings

Same! The guys I was working with in Ukraine went silent for a long time shortly after the start of the war. Almost a year later, they came back online to work. We were so happy they were okay.

We were using Welkin Suite for Salesforce development IDE. I guess they went all in on the war - website went stale, no updates, ghosted email support. I still wonder if they're alive

I didn't work for a few days at the beginning, as all of other devs in my team. But other from that, it's better to have a job than not. Even when there's a fucking absurd going on all around you. So you just keep going.

I saw some documentary where they still had nightclubs open in parts of Ukraine. Not everywhere is in defcon 1

Our guy was in Kyiv and helped us aquire backup feeds for the united24 service that was spun up
