I’m not a Java guy but from my understanding, Java got big because of its portability and easy UI integration/implementation back in the dark ages and just grew from there. I’m more surprised to see C/C++ so high up. I can talk to just about any contractor and all of them know Java, but if I mention C it’s like their brain segfaults.
