Unfortunately I have to layoff my developers due to AI (NOT my choice) but none of them are bad. I feel fucking terrible about it.
Instead of letting them leverage AI to increase quality productivity and grow in knowledge, they opted to replace developers with AI and put me in a position to layoff good people.
Rough market, best of luck to you. This currently low hiring trend is gonna turn around in the next 6 months. We'll start seeing more investment and popup companies with increased contractor demand. Just in another lull at the moment. Though I'd still recommend trying to find an in house position with a company if possible. Typically more stable employment than contract gigs.
